We have been taking our animals (3 cats and a dog) there for the past 5 years, and it is a wonderful place. I particularly like Dr. Kestler, he is amazingly competent, thorough, sweet to his patients and their "parents", and he takes time to explain things. My dog had an unusual complication to anesthesia and he handled it perfectly. All the vets there are terrific. I don't always agree with their plan for my pets, but I know that they have only my pet's best interests at heart. I have been reading the other reviews and ag... read more

We totally trust Dr. Pearson. Honestly, I believe he saved our dog. In fact, they are all just great!
I'm giving this place 3 stars for the two doctors that are top notch here (Kestler & Pearson, and one for the two women who left who were fabulous - Field & Wiedermeyer) and for the past care that we've had that has been excellent. However, our last experience was just bad enough that we are DONE. We adopt rescues and foster as well. We have 8 dogs in residence and we take GOOD care of them. We spend a lot of money on them and if need be, we take them to an emergency vet in Walnut Creek, which is top notch. We also pay... read more
Dr Radcliffe has been absolutely fantastic over the years!!! He has guided us thru some pretty tough decisions when our dog tore his ACL and had other quality of doglife injuries. We now have a happy ,healthy 9 year old dog who loves to go to this vet. I was very impressed with the many follow up calls made to ensure that our Dog was healing properly. Our dog is better than ever. When Dr. Radcliffe has been unavailable the other Vets in the offfice were also very helpful and wonderful to deal with. Thanks to all of the s... read more
We love this place. Lafayette Animal Hospital consistently delivers kind care for our yellow lab. Nicki is our favorite vet. She's young, smart and just an all around nice person. But really, everyone here is super nice. The front office is always looking to help you out. They have great hours (including weekends) and can always get you in for emergencies. Plus, they offer vacation boarding at a reasonable rate. There is plenty of convenient parking (always helpful when you've got a scared pet to tote). Our dog is a drama ... read more
We recently had Dr. Kestler at Lafayette Vet come to our house to put our dog down. It was a gentle process and we appreciate having her pass in her own bed. A wonderful service to provide for end-of-life care.
All of my dogs (five over the years) have been patients at Lafayette Animal Hospital, and I have been extremely pleased with the quality of care. Friendly, accommodating staff, doctors who are willing to spend whatever time you need without rushing through the appointment, and a real commitment to pet health. When I have had pet emergencies the vet on call has always responded immediately and doctors have been willing to come in nights and weekends if needed. Highly recommended.
All the veterinarians at Lafayette Animal Hospital are very kind, gentle and very obviously love animals. I have 2 cats and a dog and they have treated all my pets. I first began going there when the my last dog became very ill after being misdiagnosed at the Yagnacio Valley Veterinary. She was diagnosed with a sore tooth when in reality she had a severe bladder infection which left untreated went to her kidneys. When we called Yagnacio Valley Vets and let them know how bad she was doing after being seen there a couple of da... read more
Huge fan of Lafayette Animal Hospital. We leave our dog there for boarding whenever we can't take him with us. Only comment is that I wish the kennels were larger or they could expand to dog runs for longer stints at boarding. Of course the doctors and staff have always been professional and kind. They are an extremely busy office so no expectation that I'd be greeted with alot of chit chat; I'd rather be seen quickly than hang out in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend the doctors, staff and facility.
