Exceptional care and kindness to owners and pets alike. We've brought dogs and cats here for 20+ years and can't recommend Lafayette Animal Hospital highly enough.

My cat, Hammy, was obviously quite injured. I noticed that a bite he had on his leg had become quite swollen and infected. I did not have a vet as I had not had a pet in a long time. I called Lafayette Animal Hospital first thing in the morning and although they were incredibly busy they told me to come in right away and they would squeeze me in the minute they had time. Great staff... No concern leaving my dog with these folks while on vacation. Only wish they had more kennel space, have had to leave my dog other places being they did not have enough room.

My family has grown over the years from one health challenged Siamese cat to a total of 12 animals. We have been going to the Lafayette Animal Hospital for nearly 15 years and have experienced NOTHING but stellar care. If you need a cat specialist, Dr. Kestler is amazing. We've seen Drs. Wedemeyer and Radcliffe for our dogs and have been extremely pleased with the care. I have to agree with another reviewer who spoke to the sweet nature of the vet techs and front-office staff. We love them all.

These guys are the best when it comes to clipping my pug's nails. Pugs are notorious for being impossible with nail clippings, but they are extremely professional. A bit pricey, but worth it!

The staff (Stacey, Lisa, and all of the technicians) and vets are so wonderful here. They truly care about your pet and love them almost as much as you do! I highly recommend Dr. Field, she is thorough and clearly loves animals, she even sent a handwritten note when I lost my 16 year old dog! Dr. Pearson has also been wonderful to work with. I can't say enough good things. If you love your pets, this is where you should go for their care!

I have been meaning to write a letter to LAH to compliment them, but this is easier and will perhaps make even more impact. I cannot speak highly enough of this vet clinic. We have two mini dachshunds, both of whom have struggled with various issues over the last 7 years. We have seen every single vet that works there, and they all share the following characteristics--kiind, gentle, thorough, empathetic, knowledgable and responsive. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my "babies" and trust them completely.

I live in San Francisco and cross the bridge just to take my two little dogs to Lafayette Animal Hospital. A few years ago, my little Chihuahua got really sick. I took her to various vets in San Francisco (racked up bills over $2,000) and no vet solved or diagnosed the issue. Since she's only 5 pounds and was vomiting blood for a week, I was extremely concerned. I decided to take her to Lafayette Animal Hospital.
