Recommended a dozen tests for my cat that did nothing but waste money. Very poor in communicating the cost that these tests are going to incur and the limitations of testing. Very frustrating experience because it seems like they're trying to maximize the amount of money they can make from your pet. This actually has convinced me to stop taking my pets to vets anymore. In the past I would have given them a 5 star review, but my dog, who is 9 and has been going here since birth, can't get an approinment for another week and a half. He is shaking his head and likely, as has been the case in the past, has an ear infection. I don't understand how there is no doctor who can see him if not today, in the next day or so.

I have an account here and I've taken a lot of my animals here in the past. I called this morning for an appointment for a new pup I have. I was asked if I had an account and I said yes, the lady said "give me a second while I see what we have for you then" I said OK. I let her know it's for a new pup that I haven't brought in to the vet yet. She IMMEDIATELY says "oh OK well if it's a new pet we are booked almost 2 weeks out so we especially don't have anything for you today." I find it unsettling they only prioritize existi... read more

Just spent 11 minutes and 23 seconds on hold. This hospital used to be a great place to bring your pet. But that was until around four years ago. Since they were bought out by a large group they have experienced massive turnover and have unfortunately become more chaotic, expensive and difficult to reach. It's too bad

Uncaring ! Expensive! Non responsive! After years of coming here we recently took dog in with some bladder concerns. They charged us and did a bunch of tests. In the meantime she improved but we worried for weeks and left messages and they never returned our calls. Never relayed the test results. We felt like leaving but then she tore her acl and since we had been such long time customers we took the easy road and had her surgery there. Lafayette animal hospital no longer refills medications, and requires you to order meds online. However, there is a $7 shipping charge on orders that are less than $49. What hospital does not refill prescriptions? Not to mention, last time my dog had an appt, I received a call from the managing vet (Dr. Bowers) saying he noticed her nails were long, and gave her a trim. To my surprise, he then billed me for said nail trim that I did not even authorize, which was over $20... My dog is a tripod and has 3 legs... Would you pay ... read more

They have been caring for my dog for 10 years. Their service has deteriorated so badly that they do not return calls and do not allow you to schedule an appointment. How can they take your money for 10 years and now dump you?

Front desk personnel very rude and quick to blame customer for their company's IT issues. Called their listed number multiple times over two days and kept reaching some type of bank. I needed to talk about rescheduling an appointment. Ended up having miscommunication where my appointment was confirmed via text, but when I showed up I was told I no longer had an appointment. Wasted my whole morning. Front desk was very rude and I couldn't get a manager to call me ‍ For how much they charge I expected better service.
