I live in San Francisco and cross the bridge just to take my two little dogs to Lafayette Animal Hospital. A few years ago, my little Chihuahua got really sick. I took her to various vets in San Francisco (racked up bills over $2,000) and no vet solved or diagnosed the issue. Since she's only 5 pounds and was vomiting blood for a week, I was extremely concerned. I decided to take her to Lafayette Animal Hospital. I am a huge fan of these vets! They are compassionate, professional and fairly priced. Grateful to them for the care they gave my ailing cat, and how during the process of saying goodbye to my favorite pet they treated me with great kindness.

One general theme in the waiting area at LAH is relief and confidence from people who have been elsewhere and never received the same quality of care for their loved ones. After a bad experience at a vet in Oakland we were blessed to find LAH to care for our awesome 11 year old husky mix Duke. The first time we made an appointment was due to the golf ball sized lump on Duke's hind leg. Whether it's a regular check up or something more serious, we always have a wonderful experience here. The staff are friendly and they always remember their patients! Our golden retriever actually enjoys going to the vet! We've seen several of the doctor's and they've all been great. They keep you informed every step of the way and really make you feel confident youre getting the best care for your pet. They have very convenient hours and also offer 24 hour emergency care.

The doctors and staff at Lafayette Animal Hospital are about as good as they come! I have two senior dogs and make somewhat frequent visits to take care of my one dog with glaucoma and my other with arthritis. On every visit, the front desk staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful, and the doctors are knowledgeble, personable and always looking for the best treatment for the pet. Dr. Radcliffe is wonderful. I chose this animal hospital based on Yelp reviews and it turned out to be everything I hoped for. Dr. Radcliffe is a wonderful, caring, sensitive and a brilliant vet. My golden retriever puppy became very ill suddenly with aseptic meningitis and Dr. Radcliffe's awesome clinical insight, communication skills, and emotional support meant the world to me and saved my dog's life. I will never bring my pets anywhere but here! It is easy to make an appointment, their hours are excellent, and I have seen 5 of their vets and every single doctor was amazing. I totally trust them with our babies.

Dr. Radcliffe was my 2 german shepherds veterinarian for years. His conservative treatment of them both was something I valued in a veterinarian. He was THE BEST, for them, and for me, when it was time to "let them go". He could not make the trip to my house for this, but when I called completely overwhelmed with what I had to do next, he made time for me and came out to my car (minivan at the time) in the back parking lot and gave them the shot that ended their live(s).
