Been bringing my little furry family here for years. The vets are knowledgeable, considerate, compassionate and I trust them implicitly. Staff is very nice and they care too. We lost our puppy to Hodgkins Lymphoma a few years ago and worked with a number of the vets here to give her the best care. Great animal hospital, as well as a great place for boarding your pet. Office staff is friendly, vets are wonderful.
This is a great vet! The office can always get you and your pet in and seen with in a reasonable amount of time no matter how busy they are. They also offer services where you can drop your pet off for the day if you have to go to work and can't wait for an appointment time. And some hours on Saturdays! I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere than Lafayette Animal Hospital. Great vets and great support staff!
We've taken both our dog and cat here and have had good experiences every time. The doctors are all great and friendly. However, the front desk staff are extremely unpleasant. We've had negative experiences ourself and today even witnessed them being rude to another customer. I didn't catch his name but the man who was working the front desk today was extremely rude to an elderly customer and it made both my husband and I super uncomfortable. Additionally, they will not make it easy to get routine preventive meds like flea control for much cheaper from other vendors online. They will not approve the online prescription (I had been doing this for 24 years) but give you a handwritten prescription that you are forced to put in mail in an envelop with stamps. Their own online ordering is buggy and also of-course more expensive. They will also not give you a prescription for Heartgard without a blood test costing $$. Recommended a dozen tests for my cat that did nothing but waste money. Very poor in communicating the cost that these tests are going to incur and the limitations of testing. Very frustrating experience because it seems like they're trying to maximize the amount of money they can make from your pet. This actually has convinced me to stop taking my pets to vets anymore. .....truly one of the worst and overpriced experiences of my life.....I highly recommend you not going here....would be zero stars if that was an option.....
In the past I would have given them a 5 star review, but my dog, who is 9 and has been going here since birth, can't get an approinment for another week and a half. He is shaking his head and likely, as has been the case in the past, has an ear infection. I don't understand how there is no doctor who can see him if not today, in the next day or so.
I have an account here and I've taken a lot of my animals here in the past. I called this morning for an appointment for a new pup I have. I was asked if I had an account and I said yes, the lady said "give me a second while I see what we have for you then" I said OK. I let her know it's for a new pup that I haven't brought in to the vet yet.
