Just spent 11 minutes and 23 seconds on hold. This hospital used to be a great place to bring your pet. But that was until around four years ago. Since they were bought out by a large group they have experienced massive turnover and have unfortunately become more chaotic, expensive and difficult to reach. It's too bad

Uncaring ! Expensive! Non responsive! After years of coming here we recently took dog in with some bladder concerns. They charged us and did a bunch of tests. In the meantime she improved but we worried for weeks and left messages and they never returned our calls. Never relayed the test results. We felt like leaving but then she tore her acl and since we had been such long time customers we took the easy road and had her surgery there. Lafayette animal hospital no longer refills medications, and requires you to order meds online. However, there is a $7 shipping charge on orders that are less than $49. What hospital does not refill prescriptions? Not to mention, last time my dog had an appt, I received a call from the managing vet (Dr. Bowers) saying he noticed her nails were long, and gave her a trim. They have been caring for my dog for 10 years. Their service has deteriorated so badly that they do not return calls and do not allow you to schedule an appointment. How can they take your money for 10 years and now dump you?

Front desk personnel very rude and quick to blame customer for their company's IT issues. Called their listed number multiple times over two days and kept reaching some type of bank. I needed to talk about rescheduling an appointment. Ended up having miscommunication where my appointment was confirmed via text, but when I showed up I was told I no longer had an appointment. Wasted my whole morning. Front desk was very rude and I couldn't get a manager to call me ‍ For how much they charge I expected better service.

I think the vets know what they're doing, but the front desk staff is unorganized and rude. Out of the 5 times I've brought my dog in 3 of those times the medications were wrong or missing from the bag. The first time, I didn't mind, mistakes happen, they even comped the price since I had to come back across town to pick it up. But today they didn't seem to care at all. So disappointing. We'd been coming here for 6 years with great vets that have seen us. However, this time and a last time around we met with a vet named Dr Norton who similar to other reviews, up sold us on unnecessary medication, claimed the food I was feeding my dog was killing him, and claimed he needed dental work. This was absurd because we had recently gone to another vet, which was not int he Lafayette animal hospital records, to get his teeth cleaned. We have been taking our animals here for years. This practice has deteriorated in the past year or so. The doctor we saw for a simple puppy check up seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Literally left the room multiple times to "consult her colleagues" and came back with a google print out. They messed up one of our puppies vaccines and that was the last straw. This is not the office we gave been going too the past 5-10 years. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!

I have been bringing my pets here for years and I will also never return . My dog has had persistent issues with his front leg. I had a follow up with the same Dr who saw him four weeks ago because my dog was in pain. The doctor felt my dog needed X-Rays and the cost was $357. I agreed and after an hour the doctor said, "I have great news. Your dogs back and hips look great.
