After I search online about Liberty First lending, I found this company does not tailing the truth on their invitation letter. It said pre-approved for consolidation loan. Turn out they ask all kind of info, it might hurt my rating. ******* give me a phone number and ext # when I called her they said the ext# was wrong, So i got some body on the phone, I told him cancel the whole process I am not interested in their offer.
This business is sending out "pre-approval" letters for consolidation loans that are not really pre-approved. They are also not for consolidation loans. They are trying to enroll people in a debt relief program. This is not good if you can avoid it. Nowhere in the letter does it mention this. It only says a standard consolidation loan. Very misleading. Very disappointing. They run your credit, which lowers your credit score, for something you didn't even want. This is wrong. I didn't agree to a "relief" program. I agreed to ... read more
I had the same experience, I received a mailer that offered 25K at 5.99% interest to pay off credit cards/debt. When I called, the rep took my information (including social security number) and then said he was transferring me to a loan rep. I waited for 15 minutes before a loan rep came on the line. She couldn't grasp what the letter said, she kept saying that the mailing was for a $2,500 promotion not 25K and the interest rate she quoted was 17%. When I asked her about the mailing I received she said that it wasn't her tha... read more
I recieved a mailer stating that I was preapproved for a loan, with a really good apr. (Which sparked my interest) I was curious and the mailer simply stated I just needed to scan the ** code and the rate would be revealed. So, upon scanning the code it did ask for my contact info. OK, I see that, but after submitting the form it was an instant phone call. That's when I realized it was about collecting my information. I did respond to the text they sent asking to be removed from their call list and mailer. I figure if they w... read more
I had the same situation as ********************(04/15/2024). I spoke to a male who took my information for a soft credit check. He said he would get back to me in 30 min to 1 hour. No call. I called the next day, woman said I must have talked with "****" and she would have him call me. No call. Called later that same day and a woman said "****" was on another call and she would have him call me. No call. Next day I called several times. Asked to speak to a manager and was put in touch with "*****". "*****" could not any rec... read more
I called this company on April 15th at 10:14 am EST at ************. Told the customer service rep that I received a letter, gave her the code and then she took my information to do a soft pull on my credit report. She confirmed information that she then had access to and then she said to me that she would share my information with the lenders to see what loan was best for me. She stated that her company was not a broker and someone who call me in the afternoon. I forgot her name but I called back that same afternoon and spo... read more
Very misleading. I received a letter stating I am pre approved for a certain amount to consolidate some loans at a lower interest. It was a big mistake and waste of time. They had nothing I was willing to accept. So, in the end, I gave all my information and got nothing in return, other than a new worry that they have all of my information now.
This company offered a pre-approved personal loan and did not help me with my financial situation. Instead they offered a debt settlement with is a scam due to the fact they want you to stop paying on credit cards. I was denied the loan due to excessive amounts of credit card debt and average credit score. They need to advertise that an option available through their company is a debt relief settlement. I would never have contacted them if I had seen this in their pamphlet.
There are two very positive reviews. What a bunch of BS. Possibly **-generated text that was then edited by one of their bait-and-switch employees. It is obvious. After reading the first 5-star review by ************, I then read the 5-star review by ************** and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Go read for yourself before the employees at Liberty alter the two reviews so that you can't tell they are fake. First, it is written as if it is a commercial and it is too perfect in the ** way. But that is not what gave it awa... read more
