I received a letter in the mail from this company, Liberty First Lending. I called to see what else I needed to qualify for a loan since the letter said I was pre-approved. The lady who attended to me yesterday was completely unprofessional, treating me as if I didnt know anything about credit totally unprofessional. They asked me so many questions, even asking if I had a washing machine at home, how much I spent on cleaning products per month, etc., etc. How ridiculous all of this was. After all these questions, they told m... read more

Well, this/these reviews ANSWERED (or confirmed) my questions. This company, even as it states that they are not out to deceive a potential customer... THEY ARE! Their MAILING DOES STATE, and I Quote "We're pleased to inform you that you're pre-qualified FOR A LOAN (Emphasis on this) up to $23,000 with Liberty First LENDING (Again Emphasis on this) with a rate as low as 5.99%". (Reference Mailing received 09/12/24) In the second paragraph, THE HEADING, again states Quote "Our LOAN (Emphasis on wording) Could Completely Pay O... read more

I got a call from their "service representative" ****** He started rambling off with their survey questions. I asked him, "Is this a call pertaining to the possibility of any of of loan ?" In which he replied, "I cannot answer that question for you." Them immediately hung up on me. Sounds like a bs scam to me. They sure as heck do not know a thing about business etiquette. I've heard other scam calls that were at least way more polite than these a-holes.

Business response:

Dear ***************,Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had with our service representative. This behavior is not reflective of the standard of service we strive to provide at Americor. We take all feedback seriously and will address this matter internally to ensure it doesn't happen again. We would appreciate the opportunity to assist you further and answer any questions you may have regarding your account. Please feel free to reach out to us directly... read more

Well, first of all let me start off by saying that the 3 different boys I spoke with were incredibly rude. Like, who the heck do these little arrogant prices think they are. Secondly, the whole thing seems scammy. The credit bureaus sold my information to this company for them to solicit me into their program, which, you must pay 4.9% of the loan plus interest. And, you can't just pick and choose what credit cards you want to pay off... the money goes directly to the cc company and you must pay off at a minimum, 80% of your ... read more

This is NOT a loan company as stated on the letter received. It's a debt consolidation company who wants you to not pay your credit cards, then they will step in, charge you a huge fee, and settle with the credit card companies to pay less then you owe, and then your credit will be ruined. You would have to be in a dire situation to consider this route.

Business response:

Dear Deanna, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any confusion regarding our services. We are a debt resolution company, and our goal is to help clients navigate challenging financial situations by negotiating settlements with their creditors. We understand that our approach may not be suitable for everyone, and we strive to be transparent about the potential impact on credit scores and the overall process. This sounds like a scam. They send out a letter saying you are pre-screened to receive a loan up to xxxx at a rate as low as 5.99%. Then, when you read the really fine print, which I suspect most people do not, they say in order to qualify for this you must show proof of a minimum $20,000 in retirement or other savings. ***, I wonder how many people who they send this to have this kind of money in the bank. There is no where stated that this is a debt relief servicer. If you get this letter, read the fine print and then thro... read more

I received a letter that says that I am pre approved for a consolidation loan up to ***** with 5.99 APR, so I went the website and read the reviews, I am really scared to contact them because no where in the letter does it say that they are a credit repair company. This company needs to be investigated big time. I am tired of these companies that lie and don't help. I tried to refinance my home and they told me that I was approved, I waited and called the company back and they did not answer or return my phone calls and they... read more

Based on the reviews this company looks like a crooked company beware. I received the same letter everyone did date is 07/08/2024. I haven't called yet and will not call based on the bad reviews and almost the same situation I was in. I am only putting one star so that other people will be more wary of dealing with this company.
