Because of an excellent rating by Angie's List and the BBB, we contacted this company for an estimate for a re-roof of a large manufactured home. The company responded promptly with an appointment date and time and a followup email. Mr. LaNue, Lyons Roofing President, showed up early on 11/30 and made a detailed review of our requirements. He was extremely courteous and helpful. He promised to email/phone us with two estimates for different options. By 12/4 I had not heard from him so I sent a followup email. I'm one to rarely write a negative review. It simply isn't worth my time. After giving Lyons several attempts to correct their problem, and to no avail, here I am. I have a rental property that had roof leak. Pure and simple. Lyons arrived upon my request to diagnose and repair. They found the supposed leak, quoted me two estimates (one for an entire new roof, even though the home was only 5 years old, and one to repair the section that caused the leak). Quote was outrageously higher than other estimates for the same work. Over double the price of others. Had 6 other quotes. Like other roofers I didn't get a good feeling of honesty out of them. They did nothing... We built a new walking deck on the second floor of our house.

There are over 400 licensed roofing contractors in Arizona, many of them one man shops. We certainly can't compete on price with those contractors, it simply costs us more to operate. Did not go well at all. Called and told the girl that answered the phone that I had a house in Gilbert that needed the roof looked at.Our tenant told us that there was what looked like a water spot on the ceiling. A plumber came out to look at the AC unit and he was the one that told us that we should have a roofer look at the problem. Thus we called you. The girl told me that Catherine would be the person to contact our tenant and I was told that she would do it that day. She did not. My tenant told me no one called her. So... read more

We have lived in our house almost 20 years and the cedar shake roof was on there at least 7 years before that. 8 years ago my son said he thought it made our house look like a haunted house and it had gone downhill since then. After every strong wind there would be shingles found on the ground all around the house. The shake roof had been put right on top of the existing asphalt shingles and the roof only ever leaked around the guest bathroom vent when the wind blew just right. They didn't show and no call. I waited all day. I called them and left a message explaining the missed appointment. No call back. Not very professional. Needed roof repair work done on our back patio. Called and scheduled an appointment to get aquote.
