First the ink does not last long at all, seems like after just 20 pages or so of using the color ink, it repeatedly says "LOW INK" and just when you need your printer the most, you cannot complete your print job, even if you elect to print in Black and White, UNTIL you replace the color ink cartridges. Brother will purposefully shut down your machine when you still have plenty of Ink! I had a earlier model Brother ink printer that I had good success with so when it was time to buy a new printer, I stayed with Brother. Well something has changed, my MFC-J895DW printer is programmed to tell me the ink is out when it is not. Not long lasting Had this for two years and now keeps saying “printer jam”. And there is no jam. Don’t know how to fox this and will be throwing it away. Don’t purchase this
WAS 5-STAR In 2019 I bought it here for $79.99. 3 years later they want $315. NOW IS 1-STAR Bought brand new in Dec-2019 for $79.99. Great little printer. BUT the microsensors that tell whether there is paper stuck in the paper path have failed. No paper in path at all Not even little bits of paper. Nothing. Piece of garbage I've had this printer for just over a year. It is a piece of garbage. All it does is suck ink cartridges dry all the while printing at a very low level of quality. Do not waste your money.
Total Junk Ink dries out won't print. Unable to Clean print head, Cannot fix it. Defective Junk. Don't buy these cheap inkjet printers. The Ink dries out and it will not print.
IT....Stopped woking a few day after first Year of very light use! POS - Worst Printer I have ever owned ... 2nd Brother Printer, no more. This is by far the WORST printer I have ever owned. Nothing but problems. Won't connect, won't print. Then connects, prints for a while. Then craps out again. Tried to clean the ports, but it just tells you its out of ink. If you don't use BROTHER ink, it senses it and stops printing.
