The most important thing to know is how much time you have. The printer has all the bells and whistles form personal home use. The design is nice and fits well in my space. But there is a flaw...a fatal flaw. A flaw that I missed when researching which printer to buy. This printer prints ONE PAGE PER MINUTE, and not a second faster, ever. Take a look at the price again and ask yourself if ONE PAGE PER MINUTE works for you.
Rip-off. Won't let you print only black. Always replacing color cartridges $$$ I'm so fed up with this printer. It's such a waste of my money. I have spent endless amounts of money purchasing new ink cartridges...even when I mostly print exclusively black. It won't let you print only black. Garbage Just another cheap piece of garbage
The print quality is terrible, the touchscreen is too bulky and it jams all the time Don't do it.
Stopped working This printer stopped working all of a sudden after about a year. Of course, it is out of warranty; however, I have NEVER had a home printer that didn't last several years without any issues whatsoever. Do NOT purchase this printer... I have about 10 wasted color cartridges as a result.
Never reads ink levels correctly! I HATE, HATE, this printer!! I regret getting it and am completely disillusioned with Brother now!! I purchased this for simplicity!! I have a brand new cartridge in, literally dripping ink and it doesn't register it!! A few minutes, another will not be recognized, when I didn't even print anything!! First ever review of my life- complete garbage product I heard Brother had a fantastic reputation in the printer industry. This printer can’t even run out of the original ink bc it’s garbage. Every time I print there is a paper jam, a tray jam, etc. where it never has just happened once. I have to print one single one sided page at a time. I’d prefer lighting $170 in cash on fire.
The worst Printer from Brother Bought this printer and have become the worst of all my printers. I used to buy the Brother's printers because the easy way to connect and the additional software as PaperPort that was allowing a seamless operation and also very economical in ink. NOTHING BUT ISSUES Do not buy this printer!! Save your money and do some research on other brands. This printer has caused me nothing but issues and a waste of my money for inks and paper. When left powered on, it drains all of the ink so even if you use it once every blue moon, you will come back with no ink left. Print quality is also very poor.
