Next to no flaws. Brilliant!!! First of all, please take note of the size of this unit as it is BIG! It's not for everyone; specially those who may have limited space in their home/office for this unit. Buyer beware. Great multi-purpose printer I highly recommend Bottom Line Up Front: Great printer for your home office. A little bigger than I'd like and it's bigger than my other Brother MFP laser printer I have. Print quality is great, speed is great, unfortunately, it's an ink jet but the flip side is that it's in color. It can also print duplex in one single pass, so that's awesome also. One major flaw,otherwise a decent MFP This was just what I was looking for.....handles 11"X17" paper, scans to searchable text, excellent paper handling and loading capacity, low replacement ink cost. However, there is flaw...... For whatever reason, Brother makes an "Unscannable area" around the edge of whatever you are trying to copy or scan. This is either 0.04" or 0.12" around the edge. Works like a charm... highly recommended This printer works extremely well. I have had many different printers in my office, and this is one of the best. Easy to set-up and use, this is able to scan directly to my computer and send files very quickly. Along with this, for scanned and printed material, the printing quality is excellent. I do print a lot of material and this all-in-one seems to be more than capable of handling that, as it has two paper trays and the warnings when paper is low or ink is low are very helpful. Support site for downloading drivers and so forth is great, I found it very easy to navigate and ... Were back again, with some real life situations. 11/04/2017 :) So the latest few updates 10.13,10.13.1 to macOS have not cause any issues at all. The printer is still functioning very well. We are also able to print via AirPrint with no problems at all using iOS 11. Right now the biggest problem we have, is the kids. A very solid option for a small business or office A nice all-in-one office machine. This is a printer, scanner and fax machine. You can hook it up via your wifi network or directly via USB. I chose the latter and installation was painless. The only thing to be aware of is that the USB cable must be run into the machine and that may mean you will need a longer cable than usual to get to your PC. Its true, you can fall in love again. for over 15 years I used a trusty old HP laserjet 1012 for all my printing needs.
