Disappointed Used infrequently over couple years. One color stopped printing. Used only OEM print cartridges. Instructed by Brother customer service to run head clean cycle over and over. Burned up $80 in ink following their instructions while on line with them. No help; said to take in to repair. No warranty. Read on line that should never have run clean cycle more than a couple times. It actually makes heads worse. Will not buy Brother again.
Loved this printer... until the touch screen broke This printer worked really well, and I loved the scanning feature. But 2 years later the touchscreen broke. I must have pressed too hard on it, and now the whole printer is unusable. Just because of a crack in the touch screen. What a waste.
Absolutely not worth the money I bought this printer a few years ago as an investment. It was billed as a small office printer so I figured there would be no issue handling my minor, occasional work-from-home print jobs. After two years (I know this is a long time but I have used the printer MAYBE 50 times) a paper jam message has appeared out of no where and will not go away no matter what I do, rendering the printer absolutely useless. Works well until the first problem Doesn't detect ink volume. I have changed the inc on new one, tried everything but still can't print. And the worst thing is - If you don't ha any of the color YOU CANT PRINT. This is crazy... Wish I knew that before I bought this.
PURE Garbage I had this 9 months. I have to fiddle with the ink cartridges to get them to work. Now it has lost all connectivity. no wifi, no usb, and no cat.5. Although it's under warranty it will cost over $70.00 to ship to Brother for repair. It will be in my dumpster tomorrow and I'll never buy another Brother product again. Pure Junk!!

Horrible for scanning This printer/scanner is much more complicated to use than it should be but the biggest negative is that it does such a poor job of scanning. I wanted to scan a recipe I had typed and printed on another computer so I could email it to my daughter and no matter what settings I used, it still looked blurry and brown print instead of crisp and black print. Very Expensive Piece of JUNK I bought this very expensive printer hoping it would last a bit longer than less expensive printers. Boy, was I wrong. After about a month, the wireless connection would be broken every time I tried to print, and after a drawn-out ordeal of rebooting the Mac, rebooting the printer, and re-entering the wi-fi password, I could finally get a page printed.
