The operator manual: 833 unintelligible pages Buggy software makes this printer a useless as a BRICK. Be aware it comes with an 833 page unintelligible manual. The printer is constantly declaring itself 'offline' and there is no discernible way to make it go to 'online'. There is zero guidance on how to remove and reinstall the drivers. I rue the day I let this thing in the house.
I have multiple unopened sets of each color and Extra capacity Black cartridges now useless. Avoid this printer I purchased this Color printer March 21, 2017. Ran less than 1 pack of printer paper through it. Hardly used the device, always printed light on page and some lines in image. When I selected highest quality print for regular paper (not photo paper) the paper jammed before it was finished. I cleared the paper jam, however it will no longer print. Printer stopped working after 4 months We have had this printer just under 4 months. We have an error code E9 Unable to initiate. We have done everything recommended in the printer booklet and online. Nothing has worked. Since that has all failed we are advised to take it in for service. Four months of minimal use and it needs service? There is no way we could recommend this printer or Brother in general. Very disappointed.
Print quality is awful The print quality is far below what was advertised. We expected good consistent quality, based on reviews and advertising. However, we got lots of banding and dull colors. We even tried inkjet paper, new ink cartridges, cleaning, etc... Nothing improved the quality. We will be returning for a full refund and begin searching for another color inkjet printer.

Thoroughly DISAPPOINTED with this piece of crap!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and ANNOYED. Poor Color Rendition and Sub-Par Black & White We are a small office that has used HP printers over the years. Thought we would try a Brother product for one of our replacements. It was a very regrettable choice. The print quality and color rendition are very low quality. We tried calibrating the color as described in online support forum. It didn't make any difference. Ultimately just another piece of junk After experiencing more then a year of frustration with the worthless boat anchor known as the HP 7612 (see review at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R3UANE7G2BT7XD?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl ), I finally junked it and bought this unit after some extensive research.
