Skip It! This is my fourth or fifth Brother MFC printer, and I've loved every one of them, until now. Within a week, a plastic part snapped off the paper tray. I contacted Brother support and got a total run around. It stalls all the time.... just sits and thinks about what it's doing. The paper trays are complicated and not easy to load and unload. Nothing like the Brother printers I loved in the past...

Had 2 months, not functioning, and I spent ... Had 2 months, not functioning, and I spent a lot of valuable time trying to get it to operate. Return apparently 30 days only. This has been a problem printer and I would steer clear of this particular Model.
Great borderless prints IF it decides to work after you clean the jets repeatedly and unstick the jammed paper first. When this printer prints.... It can do beautiful edge to edge printing like few others... unfortunately I've never met a printer that has to be cleaned due to poor color/striping or rescued from paper jams more than this machine. Does not perform as agreed. Bad software, worse tech support. Continually disconnected from WiFi making wireless printing impossible. Starting wanting to print from the wrong tray despite setting defaults to the correct tray, both on the machine and the software. Lost ability to scan to computer. Phoned tech support and after of a full hour of trying to fix problems, none were fixed. They put me on hold for a supervisor and promptly hung up. Do not buy anything from Brother!
Avoid Didn't function. Dropped WIFI connectivity regularly. Troubleshot with Brother. They did not know how to fix the issue. Lost money, lost time. I do not recommend.
Updated review of big, very annoying printer Like another Brother printer I had, it is a workhorse. While at first it seemed great, as time went on, I have a number of things that make me really hate this printer. I will not buy another Brother product. #1: I got this one to print 9x12 catalogue envelopes. Not print labels, print directly on the envelope. and I would like to keep it out of sight in my office Cannot get it to stay on wifi, so incredibly frustrating. I have set up and re-set up at least 4-5 times. It will stay on the network for about 10 minutes at a time. The machine is huge, and I would like to keep it out of sight in my office, however the only way I can actually print anything is to have it connected via cable, which forces me to move it back right next to my computer, creating a huge eyesore and taking up way more space than I would like.
