Very Poor Print Quality. Not Recommended. I have had problems with the printing being very pale since I got the printer. It has continued to get worse. I thought I was out of ink because it was printing so badly that you couldn't even read the document so I purchased more ink. That was just a waste of money. Even with the new cartridge it won't print at all. This printer has been a disappointment and a source of frustration.

Cannot print a BLACK AND WHITE document if ANY of the color cartridges are out. Even if your BLACK cartridge is FULL!!!! I've had this printer almost a year now and have been disappointed with it. Cons: -- Slow to print - even a basic black and white doc takes a while -- Photo printing is mediocre at best--Good enough to stick on your fridge, but not that great for anything else -- Convoluted way to connect cables. You have to open the entire thing up and snake the lan or usb cable around the inside of the printer. -- Have t... read more

Pathetic product! Ran out of ink after < 350 pages. Ran completely out of ink after fewer than 75 color pages and 250 B and W. Pathetic performance and the last time I will ever purchase a Brother product. Supposed to print 1200 color and 2400 black and white. This was my main reason for purchasing this printer. Horrible product.

Printer worked great for 14 months and then died completely Printer worked great for 14 months and then died completely. A know these kinds of things don't have a very long shelf life but I should have at least gotten two years out of the machine.

A good value overall! I have been an HP user for many years. HP quality is good but you end up paying much more money as its cartridges don't last at all. So, I like this Brother model and I cannot comment on any other I didn't use. This the second similar printer I am buying this year, as I needed a second one away from home. Something I noticed is this second one is bit more noisy than the first one I bought. However, this one has a feature the other didn't have; you can select black print, before printing and it's importa... read more

We ordered this printer in January. We only recently ... We ordered this printer in January. We only recently opened it and I will NEVER buy another Brother product! It jams up every time I try to print double sided. Unfortunately, the support window and return window have closed. I regret not opening this printer and trying it right away, guess I had too much faith that it would and should work. I'll stick with my HP printers!

Horrible,, If not used everyday you will need ... Horrible,, If not used everyday you will need to clean nozzles before every use. My HP was used once or twice a month and never needed nozzle cleaning. Every time over last year that I have used this, I have have needed to pull out blank /fade plage and clean nozzles before I get a readible page. Very frustrating. Do Not buy. The Money they tell you will save on ink is wasted by having to clean everytime used.

Sorry excuse for a printer I did a lot of research before buying this printer last Spring, but now I know you can't always go with good reviews. The first one I bought was awful (a real lemon). I spoke with Brother customer service several times before they agreed to replace it with another of the same model. Well, that one wasn't much better. Again, I spoke with customer service on several occasions, and even though they were very pleasant, they never resolved my issues (poor photo printing quality, scanning a different siz... read more
