    One Star Still trying to troubleshoot why it won't recognize the Cyan ink cartridge that came with the unit. Very Frustrating!

    Nozzles clog and need cleaned all the time At first this printer was great but I would strongly advise you to go in another direction. After a week or two of printing (we don't print a ton...a few pages a week) I would send the job to the printer and the pages would come out blank. So, I did the print quality test and no ink was showing up on the pages. The printer suggested that the ink nozzles were clogged and needed cleaning which was done by the machine.     Won't let you print or copy B&W despite having plenty of ink if you have empty color cartridges in the unit... Seriously you are holding my black ink cartridge hostage and won't let me make B&W copies until I buy more colored ink cartridges and replace my empties...? No thanks going to look for a better printer now.

    Average to below average I would say this printer is just ok. The ink definitely does NOT last as long as it says (which was the main reason I purchased it). Picture quality is fine but black and white printing is blurry at best. I would look for another option if you want a high yield printer.

    Fax Receive Functionality is NOT Mac Compatible. We bought this printer specifically because the fax mechanism on our old Epson didn't play well on our new Macintosh computer. After checking the compatibility on Brother's webpage - it seemed like this printer would fit our needs perfectly. Unfortunately they forgot to put a big asterisk by the fax compatibility as only SENDING faxes from Mac are supported, the ability to actually save faxes to your computer's harddisk is only available on Windows.     I have had more problems with this machine then any ... I have had more problems with this machine then any other printer I have even owned. It decided it has paper jam when there is none, Unless I get a computer person over to fix it I am out of luck. When you uninstall you are unable to reinstall it just doesn't take the order. Can't even turn it off it sets there with a red x showing even when machine is uninstalled. So six times now I have had to pay someone to make it work.     Printer is Garbage I've only been able to print about 10 pages since I've had this printer. Nothing but paper jams every time I try to print anything.

    Why isn't there a Darwinism award for bad tech? This piece of garbage would take GOLD. What a complete waste of my money. This printer is BRAND NEW and the literal FIRST piece of paper i tried to print, it told me there was a paper jam. I followed the prompts and it seemed to work. For about a day. Now almost every time i try and print, first it tells me there is a paper jam, i open the tray about an inch and put it back and it prints.     I can say this is the worst printer I have ever owned Bought this printer based on reviews and ink cartridge savings, as I do extensive B/W printing. Having owned both HP and Canon printers in the past, I can say this is the worst printer I have ever owned. Constant trouble and aggravation in trying to process the simplest documents— for example, a multi-page PDF scan.
