Great printer with lots of extra ink This Brother all-in-one printer seems to be designed with home or small office use in mind. Low cost per page Image quality for photos is very good Not the best but very good other functions are quite respectable As for the 2 year supply of ink it does work out to a low cost per page
Great for home office I got this printer for my home office, because I'm so tired of using printers that cost so much to refill the ink cartridges. This printer is so easy to set up, and it prints out really fast. The black cartridge is bigger then the rest, which is good, because I print more documents that use just black ink. Lots Of Black Ink! This lovely printer was a snap to unpack and set up. I had smooth sailing until I realized that the authentication/encryption methods used by our Comcast Router is not supported by this machine. Specifically, I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with Comcast to have them override the WPS on the Comcast router to authenticate with this Brother copier. High yield inks...YES! Brother has been around for a very long time and I think the last 5 years they have really come a long way with their printers. I only use all-in-one printers because I run a small home business. I'm always needing to scan or print something. I like that this model has all of the mobile device printing capabilities including AirPrint, Google Cloud and wi-fi printing. Low ownership cost overall, a quality all-in-one inkjet printer. A bit more for hardware, but ink is very inexpensive and lasts! I've reviewed the brother color laser printer and their large color inkjet printer. I like the color touch screen software that allows easy set-up and control over scanning, copying, faxing, and connecting to the wireless network in my home. Ink replacement problematic This easy to set up, but little used printer worked perfectly well until it required new ink recently. The instructions for replacing cartridges are straight forward but the printer simply would not accept the new cartridge. I have given up trying and will think long and hard before I buy a similar printer.
Doesn't work with mac Does not work with MacBook Air M1
Garbage I'm done with this thing. Bought it because the ink was cheaper than some of the other brands but it has 2 fatal flaws 1) It regularly cleans itself and as a result runs through your ink whether you are printing anything or not and 2 2) it will not let you print black and white when you run out of color ink. Setup was not very easy and print quality is just OK. Will not buy another Brother product.
