Get directionsMy most recent visit was with our current dog, when she suddenly started to have what seemed to be like a human asthma attack. We 'rushed' (via the speed limit) down Johnson Drive to Mission Med Vet and were quickly buzzed in and assisted. All of the staff was very caring, and the vet explained her 'condition' in very simple terms, yet offered to do more tests if we requested. She was fine; reverse sneezing is apparently common for dogs, especially scent hounds like our own. I'd never heard of such a thing! And it only co... read more
I was told it would be a 3-4 hour wait when I arrived, but it turned into a 5 hour wait before we seen the vet. I called ahead and was told we would be put up on priority due to the problems my pet was experiencing, which didn't happen. The place is certainly extremely expensive. I elected not to do all the tests that were recommended, only part of them due to the cost them. The blood work price was certainly a lot higher than I've seen in other facilities including the vet school hospital. The vet was definitely all bus... read more
My bad experience really started at the front desk when I brought my 1 yo Goldendoodle. She stopped eating and drinking since she woke up Saturday and was very lethargic and vomitted few times until Sunday. I was very anxious and worried she had something in her stomach. When I checked her in, I was told by the small guy with a mohawh hair, "it will be a 2-3 hours waiting for non-emergency" with a dismissive tone. So, I was upset by the lack of empathy and worried that we could be waiting for hours because nobody thinks she ... read more
When i called to ask questions about my dog, i was told I couldn't receive advice over the phone. Not sure if it's a policy or what. I called another vet clinic and the ladies were happy to give me advice on the phone.
Brought in my dog after finding her collapsed in my yard. 6 hours and $1200 later, they had no answers. The doctor's best guess was a heat stroke (even though it happened on a cool fall day and early in the morning). I took her to my primary care vet the next day only to find out she had been bitten by a snake! They said she was "very very lucky" and that she should have died in the first 12 hours because she didn't get any steroids, antibiotics or pain meds she needed at Mission ER. I will NEVER come back here.
I took my cat on a friday morning because he had a urinary blockage. They took him back right away and put me in a room. Which I was grateful for. After about 10-15 minutes the vet came in to talk to me. She explained what was wrong and gave me a cost. Then she told me that if I couldn't afford care, I should not take him home. He would die a painful death at home and I should let them euthanize him instead. That statement let me know exactly how valued my cat and I were as clients. I didn't hear anything from them the first... read more
They will scam you, will tell you anything to get your money, they attack your emotions and show you images off of google of your pets diagnosis and they never even gave any fluids or vitamins for a dying puppy just to give back with a fat bill for an xray for what you can already tell is wrong tell; no information on what could be done to keep alive, They took the rest of my money and told me they couldn't do the surgery at the "state of the art" hospital they claim to have and told me to go to a smaller hospital? now I can... read more
The vets and their knowledge. I took my pup in early Sunday morning, got X-rays that to them were inconclusive. An ultrasound was recommended but not highly encouraged, option two was for nausea meds, all Sunday and into Monday my pup got worse took him to a different hospital for them to say that is in fact no doubt a sock (seen the same X-rays Mission took), and went in for emergency surgery. This place is a waste of money and will provide little to no information.
Their response is self-serving. My cat was suspected of having advanced cancer and needed urgent attention. Two other vets considered his situation him in need of attention. Not being flexible with us or allowing him to be put up overnight put him at risk. Thank God we were able to find Eagle Animal Hospital. They worked with us and seemed to understand the urgency of the situation.
