This is not a good place to take your pet. The vets seem to take advantage of vulnerable families. They will guilt you into paying tens of thousands of dollars for non sense. Making you believe your pet will die instantly if you don't pay these outrageous bills. Do yourself a favor and find a better place!

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take your feedback seriously.

If you're curious why Mission is charging you three times as much as they used to, it's because they were recently bought by private equity firm JAB Holdings. I used to leave here feeling like I'd been treated fairly, now it's all about how much they can squeeze out of me. There are plenty of independent vets in the area who won't overcharge and guilt you into unnecessary tests/treatments.

Business response:

Your feedback is important to us. We understand your concerns about pricing and value. Please contact us at (913) 722-5566 to discuss your experience.

$2400 for a "necessary" overnight stay. Our dog had pneumonia. antibiotics cost $650 from this vet. By the time we got our dog taken care of it was 4 am. We got there at midnight. Dirty place that takes advantage of people. Go literally anywhere else. We received treatment for the dog at a different vet for $140. Do not let these people trick you into giving them your money. Absolutely disgusting business.

Business response:

We apologize for any inconvenience caused during your visit. Thank you for letting us know.

I was told it would be a 3-4 hour wait when I arrived, but it turned into a 5 hour wait before we seen the vet. I called ahead and was told we would be put up on priority due to the problems my pet was experiencing, which didn't happen. The place is certainly extremely expensive. I elected not to do all the tests that were recommended, only part of them due to the cost them. The blood work price was certainly a lot higher than I've seen in other facilities including the vet school hospital. The vet was definitely all bus... read more

Business response:

Hello Kathy, we're sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations, especially regarding the wait time and the priority you were told you'd receive. We understand how frustrating it can be when a beloved companion isn't feeling well, and you're waiting for care. We also understand your concerns about pricing. We always strive to be as transparent as possible with pricing , and our pricing is based on many factors, always with the goal of providing the highest level of veterinary care. Your feedback is impo... read more

My bad experience really started at the front desk when I brought my 1 yo Goldendoodle. She stopped eating and drinking since she woke up Saturday and was very lethargic and vomitted few times until Sunday. I was very anxious and worried she had something in her stomach. When I checked her in, I was told by the small guy with a mohawh hair, "it will be a 2-3 hours waiting for non-emergency" with a dismissive tone. So, I was upset by the lack of empathy and worried that we could be waiting for hours because nobody thinks she ... read more

When i called to ask questions about my dog, i was told I couldn't receive advice over the phone. Not sure if it's a policy or what. I called another vet clinic and the ladies were happy to give me advice on the phone.

Business response:

Hi, Madison. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, this is one of our policies as our CSRs are not emergency veterinarians and we are so sorry we could not get you the answers you needed. However, we are pleased to know you were able to get the answers you needed elsewhere.

Brought in my dog after finding her collapsed in my yard. 6 hours and $1200 later, they had no answers. The doctor's best guess was a heat stroke (even though it happened on a cool fall day and early in the morning). I took her to my primary care vet the next day only to find out she had been bitten by a snake! They said she was "very very lucky" and that she should have died in the first 12 hours because she didn't get any steroids, antibiotics or pain meds she needed at Mission ER. I will NEVER come back here.

Business response:

It's regrettable to hear about your experience. Please excuse any inconvenience. We are happy to know your pup got the necessary care elsewhere.
