My 12 year old cat had a mass in his mouth and was not drinking and eating so I knew I had to get him to a vet asap. My vet was unable to get me in and so was my back up vet. Both vets recommended VCA for an emergency vet. So I headed over there and was seen quickly. I loved my doctor. She (Dr. Katelyn Miller) was very friendly and explained things very well. I found out my dog "BabyJ" had cancer a few months ago, and the vet that we where going to did a horrible job at doing all he could for her, so he referred me to a Specialist which is VCA Animal Hospital, when we walked in the first day I felt so much love and I knew in my heart they where going to do all that was possible for "BabyJ". I've had two very good experiences with VCA. The first time I thought I'd poisoned my (back then 2 cats) with Frontline, and showed up with them in a panic. Very shortly afterwards a veterinarian came out with several questions about what had happened and why I had brought them in. When she finally had all the information I could give her, she very patiently explained to me what had been going on and told me that my cats were fine. Took our dog here for the first time this week. She was having multiple seizures and her regular vet was closed. We took her in and the staff was great. They took tons of notes on what had been happening and the vet came out and told us his plan face to face. For a ER hospital, the bill for her to stay overnight wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. And that included a catheter and meds to stop a seizure she had while she was there. I called in a panic! I have no children just my dog, he started acting... weird. Pacing, panting, climbing on my chest. Unusual behavior for him of 5 years. Kyle spoke with me and explained what might be the cause of his strange behavior. Reluctant, I listened, and in 3 hours my pup was snoozing away. I am grateful I called before going in or doing a vet online, he not only saved me money but peace of mind. This is where my dog will go from now on.

We have been in this area for just over a year. Our pup had a horrific accident and because of a recommendation from a former co-worker who was stationed in this area several years back we decided to take her advice and brought our pup to the emergency center. She spoke very highly of this Center because her pup had serious medical issues and received outstanding care from the staff. OUTSTANDING! I have been coming to VCA Mission since 2014. All of the doctors put great effort into caring for the animals that come thru the door. They do a fantastic job at putting the more life threatening cases first, and just sitting in the lobby I can see everyone hard at work. From the receptionists comforting the people to the ER doctors to the specialists I give these workers and doctors a great deal of respect for putting 100% into each animal they see. We have had to take both our pups here and were very pleased with the care and compassion each time. One of our dogs had major orthopedic surgery with Dr. Wilson, and we cannot say enough good things about him. Prices are high, but that is a given when a place is open all hours and has so many specialists. We're grateful to have them close to home--just in case. Jonesy and Jackson say thank you!

Ordinarily any type of emergency service is a necessary disaster, at best, but this evening I had to take not one but two dogs to the vet and it was a tolerable experience. Stella and or DJ had mis behaved and grabbed a bottle of puppy pills (Celebrex, a cox 2 inhibitor) off of the counter and downed 17 of them...yummmy When I found the chewed and empty bottle I consulted Dr. Google and headed straight to Mission MedVet for a quick barfing and advice.
