Great class schedule! Yoga on Sunday mornings is amazing and the girl that teaches it is sooooo fun and refreshingly goofy! Totally doable for beginners and fun for advanced! Loved the barre class with Danea and Crystal is just phenomenal in yoga! The personal trainers are knowledgeable and engaged! The front desk staff are great and let's be honest... the smoothie bar?! Tammi R. (an employee) was very disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. She lacked professional character as a representative of Mountainside Fitness. She behaved in such a manner that my friend and I, who we're using the space to work out, felt harassed and threatened. I do understand that everyone have their policies and procedures that must be follow. But this facility policy sucks. I went there today to see Members services. In order for me to go see them I had to give them my personal information. "Because of liability" I don't think so.. address, DOB, email, phone # and so forth. This is stupid. I've been to other gyms, big as Mountainside and NEVER had to give them all of this stuff! I signed up for the 18 month plan and it costed 79$ I enjoyed working out there for a little but I'd rather workout at home. They said it would be 79 to cancel at any point too. But when I wanted to cancel they wanted me to pay 333$. Or move 51 miles away from any mountainside fitness. More then an hour away from any place. A d 31 miles is 45 mins. I want to start by saying that if my review was simply for the gym/training aspect, this location would get 5 stars. Their trainers are great and equipment is well kept. But as a mother, if I could rate the childcare 0 stars, I would. I chose to start my membership at Mountainside because of the way they up-talked their childcare. We love everything about this facility. It's clean...an awesome variety of equipment...great kids area!
This facility is new so all of the equipment is state of the art and in good working order. It is very clean. The amenities such as the sauna and steam rooms are nice touches. The aerobic equipment is plentiful - treadmills, ellipticals and bikes. They have personal televisions with basic cable channels. There is a lot of strength training equipment and I must admit, some of it is a little intimidating. I haven't tried any of the classes but there seems to be a nice variety. The showers are nice.
