I signed up for the Queen Creek location and went for my second time today. I am a stay at home mom to a 22 month old & a 10 week old. I was VERY nervous to drop my kids off in a childcare setting. I had a fantastic experience today thanks to the kids club manager Kaylee! Every time I checked on him on the screens/cameras around the gym she had my toddler on her hip and was giving him extra attention he needed as he's getting used to the setting. Before I mention my complaint: the gym itself is great, kids club is amazing and the employees are good too. However, I attempted to cancel my membership because I recently moved and I don't have a mountainside fitness close to me anymore. The sales guy explained to me that I was in a 6 month contract and would have to pay a 25% contract buyout. I have been more than happy working out here. To start from they way Mr Hatten runs his gyms to the employees. The GM (Mr. Rice) at this specific Queen creek location has always been amazing. Keeps this gym clean and his employees are always happy which transfers to their amazing customer service. A huge shout out to Skylar with memberships. Beware folks .... after two years being happy with this gym we are now feeling differently. After Covid we changed our membership from family to single person.... My husband attended the gym, I changed to a Barre class elsewhere because they only offered barre class at MS during business hours while I was working. Predatory Business Practices. Avoid this Gym. They have cancellation policies in place which make it intentionally difficult and inconvenient to cancel for the sole purpose of extracting additional monies. I cancelled my membership in August 2020 via email and multiple phone calls, however they insisted that I come into the club during COVID pandemic and refused to stop billing until so. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the employees as well as manager Alec Monte who I spoke with. The staff is super friendly / welcoming. Alec is also super nice always welcomes me by name and ask "how I'm doing" when I walk past his desk. Also I like how clean they keep their facility during this COVID area. Always seeing someone walk around checking for mask as well as someone always walking around spraying and whipping down equipment makes it feel safe for everyone working out here. These people make it so difficult to cancel your membership in hopes that they will be able to continue to trap you. It worked several times as I don't have time to sit and wait for someone to be available. At very least have us call the corporate office so they can try to talk us into staying over the phone. There is absolutely no need to have to do this in person. Time to up your practices. People will come back because you did it right vs leave with a bad taste and never wanting to use you again.

My membership was raised to $64.00 per month! No letter sent out or no notice given. Im assuming prices are raised with no notice. Cannot reach anyone on phone. I hate when people STEAL from me. I will pursue this. I did not authorize this charge.

Hi Sharon. I want to assure you that our Membership prices were not increased. In our agreement and during the onboarding, we discuss our annual fee. It is billed 3 months after a Member joins. This helps with increased cleaning costs, new equipment, and club upgrades. The annual fee is $25. This only happens once per year. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
