Some of the highly critical reviews are a bit mutha. My wife and I switched to MSF for the day care and while some days girls/guys might not be perfect in there 9/10 times it's perfect. Yes the gym gets crowded and it's a major bummer for the small basketball court. But the staff has been excellent to us. It's a gym people you sweat and stink the place up, go to LA up there street if you want to see gross. Location could use expansion and some fine tuning but we are happy with it

Business response:

Spencer, thank you for taking the time to review Mountainside Fitness Queen Creek. We are glad to hear you and your wife are enjoying the club and taking advantage of all we have to offer. If you have any concerns never hesitate to speak with our GM, Taylor, he is more than happy to listen and speak with you.

Lots of fees not disclaimed until we questioned the charges on our statement. Charged 1.5 times what we were quoted for personal training sessions, would not change our plan back to a couple plan as requested twice. All in all, very poor experience. We do not recommend them.

Business response:

Tammy We hear your frustration and did a little digging to uncover your concerns. All fees we charge are disclosed when members sign up which would include the processing fee at the time of sign up and our annual fee which is an item on all membership agreements that asks for member to initial so they are fully aware of what they are signing. In addition, your account does show you were on a couples plan and had recently switched that plan from a family plan so I am not sure where you were being told you could not change... read more

This is a great gym. Great amenities. Great equipment. Steam room is what sealed the deal, but now I have a issue with one of the workers. She is rude and make the guest I bring in uncomfortable. I had signed up with the manager. He was nice and told me about bringing in 3 guest per week. I brought in my cousin who's in high school she didn't allow him in the gym because I wasn't his guardian. I drove out if my way to pick him up to try this new gym. She wouldn't even let him sit by tv so I could workout. Instead I went to l... read more

Business response:

Dillon, I am sorry to hear you had some issues when trying to bring in guests to our club. Our members are allowed to bring in up to 10 guests per year on their membership and we will provide that guest with a 5 day pass. Guests are only allowed to come one time through this system. All guests under the age of 18 do need to have a legal guardian with them or a waiver on file signed by their legal guardian, which also does need to be signed in person, this is a security measure and policy of Mountainside Fitness that all... read more

Great facilities, good location, clean, well maintained, and it's run well. If you're serious about fitness this is the place for you. My wife and I love the kids' facilities. After a free trial week we decided to join and haven't regretted it! The only cons are: 1. The music is too loud, so loud I can't hear above my own earphones. 2. Hours: I wish they had longer open hours. 3. Sometimes the atmosphere feels a little lounge like/pick-up place, but I can ignore that.

This is a really nice, clean gym. I've enjoyed most of the classes I've tried. It is just SO crowded. I'm also not super impressed with the childcare. It's pricey and while the childcare area is really nice and well-maintained, they don't seem to have a limit for the number of children that can be in there with only a few adults/teens watching. The babies are kept separate from the other kids, but "baby" ends when the child is one. So one-year-olds can be in there being trampled by 8-year-olds. Some of the childcare workers ... read more

The persons who handle the finance dept. All tell you different answers. Nobody knows where my contract is not corporate or the branch so when i wanted to see what they had aigned me uo for they had no paperwork. There is a huge sign up fee, and then 6 months before my contract is up i have a annual fee that i was not aware of. Very poor communication.

Business response:

Ashlee, we apologize if you are getting different answers to your concern. As for our fees, when a new member signs up they pay first and last month up front plus a $35 processing fee. First month fees are prorated based on when you join during the month. There are no additional sign up fees that are collected. We do have an annual fee that we collect from our members that was anywhere between $25 and $55 this year based on the type of membership you have (individual, couple or family). Annual fees are communicated in o... read more

Ok, I must say the gym it's self is good. But it has alot of issues. I hate the loud music playing. The young teenage on the floor just making a mess and getting in tge way. I also see you childern on the floor that's just crazy. Also the all the employee's are teenagers ugh! The juice bar is horrible it's not that hard to make a protein shake come in! Daycare that's just a mess! I am not sure how long I will stay at the gym. The other thing is yes this gym is crazy crowed.

Business response:

Kim, we are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with Mountainside Fitness Queen Creek. We are a family friendly club and do have a lot of programs that cater to families, like Sunday Family Day which does increase the volume of kids in the club on that particular day. In addition, our club floor is open to members 12 years of age and up, and we know a lot of members do take advantage of this especially with the basketball court. Our General Manager would love the opportunity to speak with you in more details about yo... read more

Full disclosure - I JUST signed up for this gym; I was a member 10 years and 50lbs ago, so I'm already familiar with them. The purpose of my review today is to single out an individual. His name is Luke Schreiner. He's the Assistant General Manager. I met him the other day when I signed up. He took the time to answer my limited questions. I mean, I was there to sign up, not "shop". So, he got down to business. Where he shined was in the follow up. Apparently there was a glitch in their system and he wasn't able to send me a ... read more

Business response:

I was very excited to join this gym due to the location, but I am not super impressed so far. This is pretty much the only gym in the area so it is SUPER crowded. I have no idea how they think it is going to sustain any more growth. During peak ours it is pretty much packed elbow to elbow. This may sound silly but they blast the music throughout the gym SO loud so it's hard to even hear my own music on my headphones. Also, their wifi is terrible. Makes listening to music via pandora even more annoying when it's constantly bu... read more

Business response:

Julie, we are glad to hear that you are enjoying the amenities at the club and can appreciate the concerns you have as a member. We have passed on your comments to our management team at Queen Creek. Know that they are working with our WIFI provider to see what they can do about the connection and hope to have that resolved. You are always welcome to voice concerns to our management directly when you are at the club, we are always looking to hear from our members.
