Mountainside Fitness is the Bomb! Great classes, workout facility and Yoga! There is a nutrition bar with homemade protein smoothies etc... The price is great and locations are off the 101 around the valley. I am really close to Platinum at the Ice Den but Desert Ridge, Pavilions and Shea locations are all 6-8 minutes away. The staff is friendly, greets you with a smile and very helpful. They have great instructors for classes.

Brand new member here so still in the honeymoon stage and not sure if I'll stick around. For the price, its a nice little fitness center but certain equipment such as free weights and much of the general equipment in the free weight area is old and second-rate (like the kind of stuff consumers might buy for at-home use). Lighting in the parking lot is also very poor. Having been a long-time member at a much nicer club in the area (albeit more expensive) I have grown accustomed to nice equipment. I really enjoy this location of Mountainside Fitness. The facility is smaller then most locations however I never run into a problem with equipment being readily available. Staff is great and always available to help.

I'm old enough to know better and probably not the first person to experience the "fitness industry hidden or not so obvious extra charges" so just as a reminder, read the small print and get it in writing. I joined because it was month to month and could cancel any time without penalty, which is how it should be. I was offered a starter "personal training package" which seemed benign, cancel anytime after the initial 3 month period of 12 sessions. Love this location! Smaller than the others but the workers make an effort to make sure you're well taken care of and it never gets too busy.
Love the gym, classes are great. Was easy to sign up and easy to cancel membership when work load took over all my time. James Jones in membership was especially awesome And I am back!

**Management** The past few times I've been there, a few of your treadmills and elliptical machines were not working. One made a clunking noise whenever anyone got on it so it was a big distraction. Not a deal breaker but since it's a smaller gym, you should have all machines working for your members.

Mountainside Fitness Platinum is awesome! It's a smaller gym compared to the other MSF gyms. You pay a little extra per month at Platinum and for that reason, it keeps a lot of heavy lifters and kids out of the gym, no offense, just want a quick workout without grunts or kids playing around on the floor. Super awesome friendly staff. They do have complimentary iced water you can refill you water bottle with but it taste like tap water, so try to avoid it unless you're super thirsty OR drink away if you like the taste of wate... read more
