I cannot tell you how wonderful the staff was when we had to put our sweet 14 1/2 year old dog down on Sunday. They were very kind to us as family members. They explained every step to us and it was very comforting to know that he was getting excellent care. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone having to go through this very sad event.

Business response:

I am so thankful for this place. My BF and I found a dog walking down the middle of the road and while all cars were going around him we picked him up. We gave him water and he started throwing up and we panicked, he was also very senior. We had our dog in the car and was worried she could get something. We called so many places not one would help us. He stayed in the calling places and I walked around calling and this was the ONLY place that would let us bring him in to take a look. Animal control was closed on a Sat aftern... read more

Our pets Lalo and Misu had been treated for a number of conditions in the gamut from post surgical rehabilitation to pericardial effusion treatment. Misu was the feline survivor of a crushed pelvis after being run over by an suv. She was literally rescued by my wife. Misu needed aggressive therapy to get her back to walking and NVS was the only place (that we knew of) in Nashville with an underwater treadmill, it was a crucial part of Misu's rehabilition, thanks to it she made full recovery and went on to live a complete li... read more

Nobody ever wants to be at the emergency vet. It's full of sadness and chaos but I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at NVS. My family dog became suddenly ill and was rushed to the hospital. The ER DR Macloud explained the diagnosis and helped us make an informed decisions. We was given plenty of time to visit with our sweet dog. Never rushed or made to feel like a bother. Dr Spellman helped our friend to the rainbow bridge in a peaceful manner. A very kind soul. Rebecca went over the sad paperwork but was c... read more

This place has the most compassionate, amazing doctors. Although we didn’t have the outcome we would have liked, Dr. Sessions and his team kept me at ease along the whole process. He called with multiple updates throughout the day and always answered my questions without rushing me. He made sure our family understood everything and felt comfortable. I am so glad we had Dr. Sessions throughout this process. 100/100 would recommend this facility. I’m at peace with the outcome due to the amazing doctors here.

My dog Silas suddenly started acting strange and lost a lot of weight. He ended up having lung cancer at 9.5 years old. They did everything possible but his chances weren’t good at all for recovery. The entire team of doctors did what they could. He was excited to see me. They said it was the first time he had gotten up and had wagged his tail. Everyone was extremely nice and caring and made his transition as easy as possible for us. We love you Silas T Montgomery Jr. Mommy, Uncle Larry, Nana and Pops. Give pops a big ole ... read more

My dog was diagnosed with bone cancer. It started with a tumor in his mouth. Our regular vet tried to remove it but wasn’t able to get it all so it grew back and much bigger. We were so scared we would lose our dog. 1st we saw the oncologist who gave us some options. He did a CT and spoke with the surgeon who believed he could do the procedure to remove it. During our consultation with Dr. Armstrong .he brought out a skull to show us what he would have to do. Remove some teeth and restructure his face a bit. He gave us all t... read more

Dr. House and team provided excellent care for Itty Bitty during his most painful days dealing with a herniated disc. He is now 6 weeks post-op and is back to being the silly little dog we all know and love! I can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of my baby!
