RecommendedEveryone I encountered in the office was so caring and kind, from the first person I spoke with when I called, to the Doctor when she called me with updates. We were concerned when our dog ingested an object. They did the least invasive option first and thankfully in our case that worked. When I went in to pick him up he seemed so comfortable (he tends towards nervous). I very much appreciate the care and honesty and am grateful our pup is doing well! Thank you to the entire staff!
We had an emergency with our mini Aussie yesterday (he ate grapes which are poisonous to dogs and can lead to kidney failure) and when our vet told us to take him over to NVS now we were very nervous and anxious about how it would go. We could not have had a better experience! We spoke to them on the phone on the way there and explained what happened. We were sadly there for their oncology services. But were treated so well in such a stressful time. Dr Cook and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful to us and our fur baby.
I want to thank wholeheartedly this animal emergency center. Yesterday, I had to make one of the HARDEST decisions of my adult life, to end my pups suffering and let him go to heaven. I can NOT say enough good things about them. They had a staff member to walk me through the WHOLE THING. She brought me crackers, water, gave me a book to read to my son about your pets crossing over, and held my hand and patted my back to see me through the whole thing. Our little Norfolk Terrier was seen there last week. The care was excellent and communication was great. We are happy with the service we received.
I have had to (unfortunately) take both my dogs, Scout and Ilio, to NVS several times in the last year. I also took one of my other dogs for care when he neared the end of his life several years ago. We have always had such positive experiences. The doctors really know what they are doing, and the staff are all so efficient, caring, and knowledgeable. We have not had much luck with our cat's dermatology issues locally, so our vet recommended the dermatology group at Nashville Veterinary Specialists, who came down to Chattanooga periodically to meet with other clients in the area. I have been really pleased with Meredith Stevens and Dr. O'Neill. They've always been very responsive to questions and messages via email or phone, and they really listen to you and spend time discussing your pet's issues and possible solutions or directions to try. I had to bring in our lab puppy. Se was having a severe allergic reaction probably to a wasp sting but we were unsure. They took her immediately when we arrived and told us what they would be doing. They have her an injection of benedryl, a steriod, and fluids. It was a holiday and they were extremely busy. Of course we had to wait in the parking lot. They took the best emergency care of our Biewer Terrier after it was attacked by a large dog. They kept us updated every step of the way. She spent 9 days there in ICU and came out of there with a bunch of human friends she made along her way. ❤️. Thank you to the ER Dr’s and Vet staff. She would nit have survived.
