We spent an unexpected night in Nashville with our extremely sick kitty, Arthur. We saw Dr. McCleod and she was so kind, empathetic, generous with her time, and helpful. We really appreciate her unrushed manner and willingness to explain what she perceived our options to be. She answered all of my, "But what if..." questions without any judgement. This place and their staff, hands down, saved my sweet baby Ella! We are so grateful for them and will always recommend them over anywhere else! Regular veterinarians are so valuable but they just aren’t set up to treat certain illnesses and diseases like NVS is. My baby would’ve died had it not been for NVS, although our regular vet was doing the very best he could before we brought her here. Our sweet Gracie is currently under their care. She had a medical emergency and was sent there from Clarksville. Everyone has been amazing thus far. They were quick to see her. The vet talked to my husband as a vet but also a friend when he was asking how we should proceed since she’s almost 11. We decided to go through with the surgery and the vet called my husband minutes after he got back to Clarksville saying surgery was complete! They wasted no time knowing our baby needed help! I can even describe the gratitude I have for the Nashville Vet Specialist team, Dr. Travis, Dr. Rodriguez, and the entire staff. Our puppy, Leeli had heart surgery and she was so well taken care of. All of our questions were answered thoroughly and Leeli was honored and spoiled the entire time. Thank you all for treating our girl with so much care and compassion ❤️❤️

I had to bring my Baby Boulder here for a heart murmur. They had some hard news to give me and gave a referral to bring him to the university for surgery. Unfortunately the outcome was not what we had hoped for but today when I got the mail not only did they send me a card but they had very sweet hand written notes from the staff as well as pictures they had taken while he was there. Had to take Lucy in to the cardiologist at Nashville Veterinary Specialist and Animal Emergency to check her valve. She does have a “backwash “ but not bad enough to be on medication. The Doctor and staff were very sweet and professional. If you need a specialist or have an emergency I would recommend Nashville Veterinary Specialist and Animal Emergency.
