Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and no long waits when you have an appointment. My dog is usually taken back within 5 minutes after arrival and they genuinely seem to care about the health of your pet. Not a place we wanted to end up but Dr Vancil with oncology has been great.

Their Emergency department is a place you never want to need. Unfortunately, we have needed them twice now. And have only positive things to say. Our boy Waylon has spent quite a bit of time with their team- especially Neurology. I can’t rate them high enough. They have always cared, listened, and helped guide us through our decisions. All vet care is expensive and they are no exception. But at least, when we have had to trust them with our little man, we knew they were the best. Everyone I dealt with was fantastic. They went above and beyond for my dog, from the first phone call as I was bringing him in, until he was finally able to come home from surgery and ICU. Drs House and Havagorst, Anna, and all the other staff whose names I unfortunately don't remember were so good at explaining every step and also just kind, to me and to my dog. There were some scary days during his stay, but I never once questioned whether I had him in the best place. Whisky says thanks too. ❤❤

The staff at Nashville Veterinary Specialist are wonderful! Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable . The ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful. The vet tech put my mind at ease and listened to my concerns,she answered and relayed my concerns to the vet. I can’t express enough of the knowledge , care and tenderness the vet showed me and my precious baby (7yr old pup). We spent an unexpected night in Nashville with our extremely sick kitty, Arthur. We saw Dr. McCleod and she was so kind, empathetic, generous with her time, and helpful. We really appreciate her unrushed manner and willingness to explain what she perceived our options to be. She answered all of my, "But what if..." questions without any judgement. This place and their staff, hands down, saved my sweet baby Ella! We are so grateful for them and will always recommend them over anywhere else! Regular veterinarians are so valuable but they just aren’t set up to treat certain illnesses and diseases like NVS is. My baby would’ve died had it not been for NVS, although our regular vet was doing the very best he could before we brought her here.
