Got here at noon. Waited almost 4 hours to see doc. Had to leave our boy for X-rays. Came back after 2 hours and still waiting. It’s not the waiting but that we sit a wait for so long and have to ask when we’ll be seen. Poor communication. It’s a nice facility and a shame I’ll never be back because of the communication problem.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. Hear me out. I went to a vet to see what was wrong with my dog. They said he had a slip disc and couldnt do surgery so I called NVS. I asked the receptionist how much for slip disc surgery on a Boston Terrier? She said $3300-$3700. I had to work that night so I told them Im sending my girlfriend up there with my credit card can you charge her on my credit card without me being there they said sure. A "poor" rating is not even close to the treatment we received at this place. Rossi House was our dogs vet and she literally had no compassion whatsoever. I have had my dog going on 11 years and I have never encountered someone so heartless towards animals in my entire life (and I have dealt with many vets). This woman charged us $3,000 for an MRI and said my dog had a tumor on his spinal cord that she could remove for an extra $6,000 and that it would likely be a failure. So normally I recommend my friends to Nashville Veterinary Specialists. My first encounter was when my Chihuahua, Lola, was in respiratory distress. We rushed to them, but unfortunately she took her last breath as we pulled onto their street. My husband still wanted to go in. I called Nashville Veterinary Specialists on Sunday to tell them my Jack russell is very lethargic and vomiting a lot, blood mixed in his vomit, when I called this Place, the girl Chelsey I think her name was told me it be 3 hours before he'd be seen. My dog had an eye injury that was already seen by 3 vets and I was referred here because they thought she had head trauma. I waited 3 hours!!! I had let them also know that I had a death in the family and needed to go. They told me she didn't have trauma and gave her more meds! After paying 120 I waited another 30 minutes for them to bring me my dog! My vet did not understand why this place did that and still believes my dog is suffering head trauma. Needless to say I'm not going back ever!
RecommendedI don't live in Nashville or even close. I travelled 4 hours to come to this place. I have a long hair chihuahua. He has allergy issues and so at the time we were having some trouble with his ears. My local vet gave me some medicine to put in his ear, called Otomax. My family and I noticed that his hearing was gone one evening. It didn't matter what noise you made, he didn't hear it. Unfortunately, we didn't put 2 and 2 together that it could be the medicine clogging it until after we had given him 3-4 doses in each ear. We ... read more
