My family had a terrible experience, the nurse and the doctor were nice and informing of our options for our cat but the front desk staff were VERY rude, told us our dying cat wasn’t “important”, and even the nurse was confused why they had not released our cat. We had an exam done and a prescription given but we were there for over 2 hours I would NOT recommend this clinic. This was a sensitive time for us and they were very disrespectful.

Business response:

Ms. Moore- We are having trouble locating you or this visit in our system. Our hospital administrator would like to speak with you. If you would please provide us with your contact information, we would like to reach out and understand your concerns.

They made promises they couldn't keep. False hope. My daughter cat Keke WAS IN PAIN and her pain was not managed at NVS. An animal cannot tell you their level on the pain scale, but that does not mean they have no pain. Stoic does not mean assume the animal has no pain and do nothing. You must assess pain by exam and treat accordingly. My Keke was in terrible pain. Keke was in this hospital for two nights. I asked repeatedly if she drank water, and all I was told that there was water in her cage. I believe she did not have... read more

Business response:

Thank you very much. You are right, we do care about all the animals and their people.

Poor customer service, hard to explain, but this isn’t your family veterinarian. Hard to get a call back, nearly impossible to get a prescription refill. They lack greatly. I suppose in a pinch the doctors may be able to do great things but they need to hire someone to manage the staff better.

Business response:

Mr. Cash, We are so sorry that you had a poor experience with us and definitely want to understand that more! Our Hospital Administrator has called and left a message for you. If you will please call us back to discuss your concerns, that would be appreciated.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience at NVS this weekend. Sunday morning I took my dog there due to vomiting blood. Given she had some sort of internal bleed I figured it couldn't wait until Monday to see her regular vet. On a positive note, all the staff we encountered there were very friendly and caring. They took blood for testing, gave her fluids and antinausea meds. I was told blood tests would take about 20-30 minutes and they would call with results. 3-4hrs later I hadn't heard anything so called to check in a... read more

Wow!!! Had no idea such a place existed. A weekend full of emotions in which I thought I was going lose my baby and these doctors and techs put me at peace and did all the right things...a miraculous place!!

They saw my dog immediately, and quickly and safely cared for him. He had his mouth stuck in his Kong trying to get peanut butter.

Back in January my dog Piper had an elevated Creatinine level of around 7.9 when I took him to my regular vet, 5 Points Animal Hospital. I was told to take him to This vet on Sidco because he would have to stay a night. Dr. Grace at 5 Points made it clear this was a very serious situation and she called Sidco to let them know we were on the way and PIper needed to be seen ASAP. When we got there, we waited for over an hour in the waiting room while Piper was very sick. Finally, after complaining, they put us in a room. We we... read more

NVS to me is the Vandy of the Veterinary world. Vandy is our only local level 1 trauma center. If I was in serious trouble, this is the place I would want to be. When my pets are in trouble, NVS is the only place I would want to be. Our first experience with NVS was with our first Yorkie Sasha back in 2015 - 2016. She had a bad mitral valve and would have coughing fits where she couldn’t breathe. NVS saw her several times and helped pulled her off of the first couple until her little heart just gave out. The last time, the... read more
