I have never written a bad review in my life but my experience here was unreal. Northside messed up our new puppies vaccinations, the office never told us to come back in after I repeatedly asked if we need to come back after our initial puppy checkup. We went in a few months later for neutering and were chastised in the waiting room by Dr. Eisner who said ' the best I can do is tell someone to come back in'... I'm sorry no, the best you can do is put it on any of the forms you sent us home with, which I checked as soon as I... read more

You can tell that the clinic is a bit older/ not as modern, which I'm fine with. The vet and technicians are fine. What really bothers me is the clinic's administration. -- Even if you need something as simple as a follow-up shot and arrive on time for your appointment, be ready to spend here at least an hour and a half. - The receptionist is extremely rude (both over the phone and in person). - I asked for my dog's records a week ago -- still haven't had them emailed. I did mention multiples times that it was urgent. ... read more

So I brought my cat here several years ago and always meant to write a review to warn others about this place but I never quite got around to it. I was searching for a vet and came across this site and it reminded me of the awful experience I had. The vet I saw was a woman (I think it was Dr. Eisner). My cat had been licking his lips and was clearly in some kind of pain or distress for a few days. Backstory: I had recently fostered two kittens and he developed these symptoms near the end of their stay. I knew the kittens had... read more

The care our cats received was largely okay, but I would avoid this clinic if you have an anxious pet. They seemed utterly incapable of managing our cats and sedated them every time. It wasn't until we moved and got a new vet that we realized it was unnecessary. They also were not empathetic about the challenges of pets who are nervous at the vet, badmouthing our pets for it and rolling their eyes when we said they were sweet at home. It left a really bad taste in my mouth and I hate to think of how many times the poor littl... read more

My cats WERE (notice the tense of the word) patients of Northside for many years. I will never be going back here nor should you take your animals here if you care for them. My cat was suffering from eating problems, she was eating less and less and losing weight rapidly. I had taken her three times over three months to address this issue. The final visit I specifically made for dental because it seemed she was in pain when she chewed, and Dr Daniel Leman had said her teeth were bad 18 months prior during her physical... read more

Not one to Yelp anything, but felt highly compelled TO MAKE THIS ACCOUNT to share my experience after using Northside for 5 years (I'm hitting myself that it took me this long to switch vets). The long and short of it it is that the customer care at this place is so, so bad it actually impeded the care my pet received. Here's my breakdown of everything. 1. The people at the front desk are so overworked (I'm assuming) that they hate their jobs and make doing ANYTHING at this place extremely difficult. From making an appoint... read more

Took a sick and stressed cat in for a fixed appointment time, ended up waiting 45 minutes past the appointment in a crowded and extremely chaotic environment full of big dogs. Not good for cats, nor for anyone who doesn't have a lot of patience. Suggest they offer fewer appointments and honor them.

I would not recommend this veterinary clinic because I had a negative experience which has prompted me not to return. I had gone in for a simple eye pressure test which Dr. Raud performed, and as a result, it caused an eye ulcer in one of my dogs eyes. My dog has had this type of test performed on him many times, but this Dr. managed to cause injury. I had to go back to see my specialist and it was time consuming for it to heal. Additionally, I find their prices to be on the more expensive side. I was quoted $700-1000 doll... read more

I never write reviews but I HAVE to share my experience from today. I took my very healthy, happy dog in for an urgent visit because he was mysteriously bleeding from his neck. He has thick fur so I couldn't really see what was going on under there, so I brought him in to be safe. His usual vet is on the UWS, but I figured I'd give a neighborhood vet a shot for a change. What a mistake. The vet immediately made me feel attacked. She told me the food I was feeding him is bad, and that I should start bringing him in for acupu... read more

Business response:

While it is clear you think Dr Eisner missed the tick on your dog, we have a different perspective on this story. There was a bloody hard mass of fur stuck to your dogs skin. You explained you had used a furminator at home to get the fur off and had slightly torn the skin in your attempt to clean the area. Dr Eisner felt that aggressively scrubbing the crusted bloody fur would have been painful to your dog so instead she clipped the fur around the area and liberally applied an ointment to soften and soothe the affected ar... read more
