And just to add to my initial review... Dr. Leiman knowledge of "the" top specialists in the field - from their expertise to their "bedside manner" - is beyond extraordinary. And again, so thorough in even suggesting who to see for a second opinion. His communication lines are amazing with the specialists and then immediately back to us. So grateful for him.
I took in a cat off the street (who followed my friends home one night) and wanted her checked out ASAP. I was able to get her in with NVC the same day. Everyone was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. They even gave us a discount, feeling bad that we weren't expecting vet bills since we just took her in off the street. It was such a great experience that my friend will be taking his cat there from now on. Thanks, NVC!
This vet has been hugely supportive and caring with my pets. I have always felt safe in dealing with them and the handle animals with care and sensitivity. I recommend them whenever anyone finds a stray in distress- they offer a discount on treatment if it is a first visit of a found animal and the front desk helps find the cheapest and safest route for shots and spay and neuter- often outside their office. They deserve 10 stars! You wanna know why? Cause there are TWO doctors that are husband and wife. Ok, still why ten? They give two different styles of practice. Thats right, you get two opinions" one more holistic and the other more traditional. BUT BOTH WILL LOVE YOUR PET AND TAKE CARE OF IT AS IF IT WAS THEIR OWN. This is serious and genuine. I ve a little dog who's my life (like eveything pet owner) and I think I was there every other day when he was a puppy (he just looked at me in a different way and I was immidiatly shared and running to the vet). They were always caring and patient with my dog and I. They help me with his diet (he is a fussy eater and his breed needs extra care) and daily care. They were just wonderful! Very very helpful. FWIW-I took My Pit here after I moved to the neighborhood. Had several visits, check ups. everything was fine. a month after his last check up he became lethargic, not eating and took him in they diagnosed it as a stomach issue. Prescribed different medications and supplements. didn't help. went back and forth for a couple of months and because he didn't get better I made an appt with another vet for a 2nd opinion. They diagnosed fluid in his lungs Lymphoma after one x-ray(which they can't do at Northside) and 15 mins.

This place was recommended to me for senior dog care and they explicitly say it is one of their services. I know my 12YO large breed dog (who I have loved more than any other animal in my life) is sick and I was looking for peace of mind about caring for her in her final months(?). I made this explicit when I made and confirmed the appointment.
