The vets and technicians are great, but the front desk staff is just rude and very very unhelpful. I've been taking my dog there for 3 years because it was conveniently close to my house, but after getting frustrated every single time I needed to make an appointment or get an answer or medicine or literally anything, I've decided it's time to move on. I wish they could hire people that care about the animals like the vets do.
Finally switched to a new vet from this place and realized how bad it truly was. Does not return calls, did not provide records, lost test results, needed to sedate cat to draw blood.
They do not care about your pet. My previous cat had a seizure (or that's what I think she had) I freaked out I took her in her carrier and ran over so they could take a look at her, just for one second to see if she was OK. One of the staff alerted the vet who was in an appointment that I was there. Long story short... the vet did not see my cat, I waited 20 minutes for her and she never came out from her appointment. I went home and never came back.
Awful. I just took my cat to this vet today and I am appalled. My cat suffers from chronic constipation. At our previous vet, she would be administered one shot and then we'd change her diet a little. She would perfectly fine the very next day. Having to change clinics because of our move, I had to take my cat this vet clinic because she lost weight. Being very concerned about her weight lose, I listened to the vet thinking she knew best. However, obviously sensing that I'd do anything for my pet the second I walked in the... read more
Today is the 10 year anniversary of the death of my cat. I chose to euthanize my cat here and I am still traumatized by that decision. I'm not gonna get into all the details, I'll just say that these people do not care about you and, even worse, they don't care about your pets. They care about their bottom line only. Stay away!!!
Business response:
We are so sorry that you have been holding on to this pain for all these 10 years. Our mission at Northside is to prevent animals from suffering. When it is time for our beloved pets to leave this world, we strive to make their path painless by using a sedative prior to euthanasia. These moments are emotional for pet parents. We know what it feels like-we have and have had many pets of our own. We have no idea who you are after all these years, but if we can help you clarify or resolve anything that still holds issue for ... read more
They misdiagnosed my cat - for 18 months - and missed his cancer. This was a few years ago but I was too sad to write this review until now. )-: If you see my other review of Paws and Claws you will see I've had VERY bad luck with vets in Williamsburg! However I assure you I am real and not a crazy person, and both of these stories are true....In Williamsburg I would ONLY recommend Dr. Felton, who is expensive but good. I had a 16 year old cat, who was losing weight and appetite. I brought him here, because I didn't ... read more
Business response:
I wish you had told us about your interpretation of the events that transpired at our clinic years ago. Carrying around pain and anger for years for a false reason is not a good thing. Your cat was hyperthyroid, and was treated with transdermal medication for the condition. We do not do the surgery for hyperthyroidism at our clinic and generally treat the condition medically or by referral to a facility that can do radioactive iodine treatment. To suggest that Dr Eisner recommended an expensive surgery is incorrect; to sug... read more
I took my 8 year old cat to this place over the span of 5 years . During this time we really only needed simple things . A check up with one visit being for feline acne. During that specific visit I payed over 300 for some pills that ended up not even helping. A simple change of food was what was actually needed. This year my cat has developed a lump on his noise . So I did what any cat dad would do. Take him in to get a expert opinion. What I go was 30 mins of waiting in the room alone. The younger doctor came in the room... read more
Business response:
This is a serious misrepresentation of the care your cat was given. The change in diet that helped your cat's acne was what we recommended to you. The bill you refer to included vaccines, parasite checks and blood tests you requested of us. A lump on a cat's nose can be due to trauma, a bacterial or fungal infection, an allergic reaction or cancer. The cause can be determined by specific tests for fungi or bacteria and by looking at cells in an aspirate of the lump. You were told that if this ended up being cancer, the be... read more
I had been bringing my pets to this practice for many years. Many years of having no real issue with what the doctors have recommended. Then they brought in Dr Raud - IMO he is an idiot. NO bedside manner. Only interested in making money. He treats people like crap. He is the reason that I am never going back there. Up until Dr Raud saw my cat and sold me a $90 cream that you can buy at the drug store for $5 (no lie just read the labels on the pet vs human medicine) - I would have gladly given this place a recommenda... read more
One word: Incompetent. 1. Left the syringe dangling in my dog's thigh after an attempt to inject. *A simple Rabies vaccination. 2. Ordered heartworm meds online via 800 Pet Meds. They claimed that my dog required a test when in fact, it had already been done. Meds delayed for up to two weeks thanks to that. 3. Front desk placed the responsibility on me to apply over the phone for Care Credit. 4. Applied as a foster once, only for the clinic to deny my existence, despite being a client for 5+ years... Overall, the st... read more
