They did great work! They were very helpful, just wonderful! They maintained the charm of our old home. I called on a Friday and they were able to start the next Monday. He sent over at least 10 people to get the old roof off; it was amazing to watch. Worked so hard and a good crew! Clean-up was fabulous. They started at around 7 in the morning and stopped around 6 at night. They were very reliable as well as they showed up on time each day. Quality of the materials was excellent. The work was done quickly - in three days - with minimal disruption (the workers arrived on time, did NOT play radios or make unnecessary noise), and cleaned up after themselves each day. They magnetically picked up virtually every nail that fell, and raked up the old roofing debris. What was also a nice note: Mr. Olen complimented the work another contractor had done on the gutters, downspouts, fascia work and soffits, and dentil molding. O'lyn's work completed this major pair of projects quickly and neatly.

The job from stripping the roof to replacing bad boards went smoothly then the new roof was installed - It looks great and I have lots of comments on it -many say they will use O'lyn's My father used him years ago in Brookline and I have also previously used him on a house in West Roxbury He actually sent men out on a Sunday to cover the roof which had partally blown off in a bad storm with no guarentee that I would even use him- I thanked you then and I thank you now By the way O'Lyn's did do this replacement alsol The dump... read more

I think they were too expensive when compared to other companies but they did a good job. So far, I haven?t had any problems with the roof that they replaced.

O'Lyn was one of three roofing companies we called for an estimate. They responded immediately and Dan came out to the house to evaluate the job and take us through a detailed presentation on how O'Lyn would handle the job and how they were different from their competitors. We were impressed with the very long list of homeowners in our town (a few we knew by name) who would provide references. There was one leak and they came out the next day and fixed it. There was no problem at all, and I have no complaints. I didn?t compare their estimate with others. We were having a party here at the time they came out, but they weren?t disruptive in any way.
We learned about O'Lyn on Chronicle which rated it as the Best Roofer of Greater Boston. Our experience totally proved it to be true. Dan Lunney, the Sales Manager, came to our house TWICE to give us an estimate and comparison between different kinds of energy-saving shingles. The overall experience was pain-free. Several workers completed the job in less than three full days. I was particularly impressed with the workers. They were team workers, polite and customer service-oriented. Clean up of the property was excellent. The contractor was the low bidder compared to three other bids. I also checked several references prior to selecting O'Lyn Roofing. The references all gave O'Lyn an excellent rating for previous work performed.
