The representative was punctual and explained things well. He wrote a quote on the spot. However he wanted to reflash the chimney which did not need to be done. Quote was $4000 higher than the contractor we choose.($10,500)
This company was highly rated and I was told it would take a month to get someone to come and estimate the job. I made the appointment and the owner showed up at the specified date and time. He said he would send a quote in two days and in fact I did get it as specified. The proposal was very professional but also the highest priced of all the contractors I had estimate the job. His quote included re-pointing the chimney. I had several quotes far cheaper to completely rebuild the chimney.
THEY COMPLETED THE JOB IN ONE DAY, WORKING LATE BECAUSE THEIR SUPPLIES WEREN'T DELIVERED ON TIME. THEY DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE ROOF, BUT I WASN'T THRILLED WITH THE CLEAN UP. I FOUND LOTS OF NAILS AND PIECES OF SHINGLES IN OUR YARD, AFTER THEY HAD ASSURED ME OF A VERY THOROUGH CLEAN UP.
THEY ARE THE VERY BEST AND HIGHEST COST BUT WORTH IT!
The slate roof tiles the company installed blew off 5 months later. Difficult to get company to come out and repair the damage. Very unprofessional.
They made one large patch - it looked good at the start - but the edges are not sealed and by now there is water under the patch. They also made a smaller patch that developed a large bubble and was then chewed up by some animals. They would not fix that without asking for additional (quite steep) payment. Miserable. Salesman pressured with a "discount if you sign right now." Wrote a contract to replace 27 slate tiles. Lied to insurance company, saying he'd identified this with a lift. Insurance folks photographed roof. Only needed 4 tiles. Salesman wouldn't let me out of the contract, saying we'd "settle up" at the end.
