My wife is currently receiving treatment and she has changed back to her fun friendly self.I thank ParkRoyal hospital for their treatment at ect facility,and kind staff it's been a trying 15 years ,and she's getting better every treatment

I am currently undergoing outpatient ECT treatments for severe depression. I've tried many medications over the past 2 years with no success, but with the ECT treatments (I have had 14 so far) I am showing signs of improvement. The staff here is friendly and helpful and they treat me with kindness and respect. Melissa, especially, is caring and keeps my wife and I informed. I am hopeful for a full recovery and I know that they are doing their best to help me achieve it.

I was in dire need of mental health help, and I got it. I was on the third floor, East wing, and what broke my heart were how many young people were there because they tried to end it all. How sad to think they had no one in their lives they felt comfortable talking to, and I know how lucky I am with my loving husband, family and friends. The ECT team is a close knit, high performance team. They helped me achieve the desired outcome. I would recommend this treatment for people who have not gotten a desired outcome from pharmaceuticals.

ECT- Electroconvulsive therapy cured my depression when nothing else did. I have been to half a dozen psychiatric hospitals and none of them have done what ECT did. I dont feel depressed at all and feel better now than i have in years. According to the mayo clinic ECT is -a procedure, done under general anesthesia, in which small electric currents are passed through the brain, intentionally triggering a brief seizure. I received ECT treatments as well as outpatient counseling through Park Royal Hospital. The treatment team was amazing! They are highly knowledgeable and extremely compassionate with their patients. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of mental health care!! Ryan-

If i could leave 0 i would. This place is not meant for children. Their pediatric unit does not answer the phones most days, when you do get someone on the phone they cant answer half the questions you have, they say someone will call you back and no one ever does. Their supposed to help children, instead they are causing more harm then good. They are co-ed so boys and girls are together most of the day. They cant supervise phone calls so how are they supervising multiple males and females in one unit? They dont communicate ... read more

I was debating on this rating but if I'm being honest I was baker act here and the doctors really don't care I had no follow up what so over when I got out. However I will admit that some of the staff were excellent and made my experience way better especially the morning shift it felt like the night shift didn't care and just tried get us to sleep so they can be on their phones well some of them as well some with the morning shift.

Do not, under any circumstances admit a loved one to this facility. This is a corporate profit company that cares nothing about the well being of it's residents. They are a corporate insurance machine. Plain and simple.
