They have a case against them for insurance fraud and treat you horribly they hold people who shouldn't even be there and they won't let you leave unless you've been there for a minimum of 5-7 days. The care is absolutely horrible you eat the worst food and they treat you like a prisoner. The showers aren't even real showers you can't even properly clean yourself. They give you a deodorant that sucks a tooth brush and tooth paste along with a beard brush for your hair and comb, you have lotion and a shampoo that also doubles... read more

Negative stars. Never ever ever go here if you can avoid it! Staff is awful, food is worse, facility is horrendous. If you have a choice, DO NOT go to this facility. It is absolutely awful.

This place should be shut down. They do more harm than good. Does the Hippocratic oath not apply to psychiatrists? Are there any competent doctors in Florida? Two separate ER departments blew me off as a mental case - neither ER doctor took a urine sample or they would have realized I was a confused senior with a urinary tract infection. Park Royal is the absolute worst - it is run by unethical, greedy, quacks. They lied and said I had drugs in my system I did NOT have and used that lie to Baker Act me - for a UTI! ... read more

This place is not fit to be an addiction specialty hospital. Was inpatient for 6 days given meds and released with no additional script. Left to withdraw on my own. The purpose was to be admitted to withdraw with help. Stay away from this place

My adult son was sent here after an emotional breakdown and literally got zero counseling -- not in a group or individually. He said they just ignored him the whole time. He was Baker Acted but after 72 hours, the nurses said he would have to stay weeks even though they had not evaluated him at all. I asked why and two of them told me "that is how they do it here-- they always keep them past the 72 hours". My son said other people who had private insurance like us were told they had to stay. According to the Baker Act, t... read more

My family's experience with this place has been horrifying my brother went in there trying you get help and has been met with total ignorance and negligence he went in there, voluntarily and is now had documents, falsified, and is on a baker act. This place is not out here to help people is not here to destroy them. Please reconsider, sending all family members your love ones to this facility. they are not in your best interest. My little brother has been having more harm than good to him done me and my family are doing eve... read more

This hospital relies on the broad scope of the Baker act to stay open. The Baker act designed to enforce treatment of the mentally ill is often inappropriately applied to people who are in temporary mental distress and may call a " helpline" to discuss feelings of hopelessness or depression. The Baker act, designed to institute involuntary admission to a behavioral health unit, is then triggered, scooping up unsuspecting People who are then involuntarily admitted. After that their subsequent discharge can be clocked at... read more

This place did not help me at all. I am a highly functioning professional, suffering from depression, who was admitted under the Baker Act. I got no help. Even the meds they prescribed were wrong. No individual help except for 10 min with a psychiatrist, then 20 minutes with a social worker who provided no followup. This place should closed down.
