It’s the worst company I ever dealt with. Came in and promised to lower our cost of payroll, sales person never mentioned the rates were only for three months promo. Fourth and fifth month, our charges were 4 times more than what they quoted. From that point on, all went to hell. By the time, I switched back to our old company, we were over charged almost $2 on two months. And, they would not stop drafting our accounts either. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE SALES PEOPLE APPROACH YOU. Bell Greek Richmond, VA locations.

Horrible. I opened an IRA to roll my 401k from paychex to my new Ira. They sent me the check and not ro the Ira I opened. I'm sure this nightmare isn't over. Paychex wouldn't accept the request from my Ira.... they insisted on sending me the check to forward to the new company

As a small nonprofit business (less than 5) this company was recommended by CPA. Started with with 5/31/23 PR, the 1st 5 bi-weekly pays went well THEN. 6th- Pd 1 hrly, not the 3 salary. 7th- checks lost had to pay inhouse-lady was unsure how to handle reissuing. 8th- checks lost reissued but processed 46hrs not 60hrs. They drew down money to pay the 60 hr check, then drew down a 2nd time at46 hrs. It took from 9/6 to 9/28 to get a partial refund and as of today 10/11, we are still due taxes and fees. This company is terrible! Our agency payroll has issues every pay period. I have been given 3 payroll specialists in less than 6 months. We pay for the top package with Paychex however can't access any of the services we pay for. Supervisors call with apologies, however, the issues continue. This company is fraudulent!

The ABSOLUTE WORST payroll company around. The majority of the reps are incompetent and unprofessional. Our latest issue...the straw the broke the camel back was our rep shared salary information for the entire company (including the owners) with an unauthorized employee. You would think someone would have an understanding or training of that being confidential information unless that individual is authorized on the account. Unreliable, undependable for what they bill themselves as doing--payroll; they miss small things resulting in large penalties from the State for not filing routine the paperwork they are paid to do or deducting taxes they should. The are subdivided into branches covering different aspects, no one communicates. As someone mentioned below, a ZERO would be an appropriate rating. All I had to cover were 2 people and they screwed that up. A disgrace

As a small business this corporation cost me much more than the services rendered. My 401k program through Paychex literally drained my account making paying bills impossible. Over 6 months I put away almost $1000 then decided that I wasn’t making enough money to proceed with the retirement plan. I was then told that they use the industry standard that is $1500 to close out the account plus a monthly upkeep charge. I was led to believe these services were helpful and now face bankruptcy.
