We had our daughter registered with a CVS Pharmacy since our insurance only worked with CVS but when we told Pediatrics Associates we needed another pharmacy that closed later in the day, they referred us to another pharmacy that was not even covered by our insurance and we ended up paying cash for our kid's medicine. They had the info on their records already and didn't even have the courtesy to offer another CVS location. Try to call all day long and they never answer. Put you on hold, and pass it to somebody else. What a waste of time and money!! My daughter went 2 to doctor for her flu, and still not getting better. Her cough is even worst and they didnt give her anything. Recommend the cool humidifier and got worst. After 2 days from the last time seing by doctor, they called and said the culture was positiv for strep, but after day 5 stil have the fever. My daughter is sick and all theyre doing is told u to wait!!
This is the worst pediatric group, stay away from them. My son has symptoms for a serious medical situation. The doctor sent us home telling us everything is normal. After some days, I insisted to go back to see the doctor and was sent to ER. The kids endup having a major surgery.
Appointments really don't mean anything at this place. Be prepared to sit and wait for at least an hour after the appointment time. Then you will get escorted to another waiting room in the back for approximately thirty minutes before a room is available. Once in the room it will be another half an hour before a doctor will see you. I hate this place!!
My son was sick and we just moved here and didn't have a doctor yet so we called pediatric associates. The office staff was nice but the doctor, whom we waited for over an hour after our scheduled appt for, was very dry and matter of fact. Not a lot of bedside manner. The office staff apologized for the wait but the doctor should have never allowed herself to be so overbooked or should have handed the appt to someone else. We have been coming to this office for over 10 years. While Dr. Kiang is our favorite, the office is getting overwhelmingly busy and inconvenient. And I believe because it is so busy, and they have many patients to see I don't feel that our concerns have really been considered. We have pushed for testing and found our daughter has an autoimmune disease and requires consistent monitoring. My son saw Dr. Kalomiris for the flu. Not friendly at all. Standoffish. Barely cracked a smile. Told me to call her the next day if my son had higher than a 101° temp and she would prescribe Tamiflu medication. The following day he had a temp of 102.6° I called and left a message for her with the receptionist. Never received a call back. Ever. Disgusting!!!
The providers are great but the front desk staff are useless. Countless times over two and a half years it has been problematic dealing with them. The staff is kind but obviously lazy. Obtaining something as simple as your child's medical records is an uphill battle. The front desk is what forced me to choose another provider for my child's care, otherwise I would have stayed with them.
This location always disappoints. At least 2 hours wait time every single time. Definitely on the hunt for a new ped.
