The communication and expectations were not clear or explained, when we had questions, they were not answered in a timely manner leaving our application to "time out" and have to be restarted. No one told us closing costs would be over 20K, that was an amazing surprise at the end. This was a horrible experience, and we found out we had more options to refinance after we closed, we feel misled and taken advantage of also. While the beginning and end of the process moved quickly, things really bogged down during the middle. Processing the documents took a long time. In addition, communication between the different teams could have been improved; i.e., we made it quite clear that we wanted our Bank of America line of credit to be paid off rather than going through a subordination process which would have delayed things.
