I would have liked the “estimated” closing date to have been closer to the actual date. These two dates were two months apart.

I am a stable customer with high credit. From start to finish this refi process was awful. The communication was so poor and it often took a week or two just to get a reply. The loan docs were incorrect more than once, and the entire process, due to delay in communication and inaccurate docs, took more than 3 months. This was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had, and would not ever recommend Pennymac. I'm not sure how Pennymac is still in business with service like I had.

All in all the refi process was smooth and efficient, especially once a mac team coordinator was assigned to work with my wife and I. Kelly Lange was great--clear and informative, and responsive both by telephone and e-mail--and lent a human touch to what otherwise might have been an impersonal and stressful process.
