We were told they would verify the payoff with current lender before final documents were drafted, however, this was not done, which resulted in higher loan amount than needed as additional payments had been made to current lender. Felt that communication could have been better, as often we didn't know what was happening as there were long gaps between emails saying action had been "completed" ie..loan approval, and next email to advise of next step..ie..closing.

John Buchanon went ABOVE and Beyond in our new mortgage and our refinance with PennyMac. John deserves praise and high recognition for his hard work and attention to detail. I would not want to work with anyone else as his professionalism is top notch.
