We boarded our two pups with Pet Paradise, Winter Garden from 6/20-6/23. Unfortunately they both came home with diarrhea . . Longer story short, our female Shih Tzu wound up in ER Vet after having bloody diarrhea and excessive vomitting and lethargy . She was in hospital for 3 days of IV fluids, and meds for diagnosis of pancreatitis. (Costing $1700.00) while she is under care we noticed that our male Shih Poo still had diarrhea, & loss of appetite . Back to ER. Vet where he was also diagnosed with Pancreatitis. I am filled with a lot of anger towards this place right now. A few months ago, we toured this facility and fell in love with the number of opportunities offered for our puppy. We currently have a 7.5-month-old American Pitbull Terrier who is full of love and energy. We wanted her to get adjusted and used to the pool and making other dog friends. I had high hopes for this facility when my family was going on a cruise in December 2024. Neighbors in our community had used the facility and gave generally good reviews. When I dropped my toy poodle that weighed 10 pounds off at the door I could see three pens with three different dog sizes where they could play. I noticed one employee chaperoning in the pen was on her phone and not paying attention to what was going on, but I assumed she may be taking pictures or writing reports for other dog owners. The location is convenient and the overall staff is very nice especially on the grooming side. However, 1st time going to the vet side at this particular location and Dr. Carino specifically was a terrible experience. She comes off very impersonal and showed no real care to my pet as she came in immediately handing over print offs and pamphlet of things instead of talking through it as professional. I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog received at this Pet Paradise location. My husband and I have been bringing our 2 year old dog here regularly for day camp whenever one of us is on work travel, but today was the last straw. While watching the camera of Play Yard 1, my husband saw our dog being attacked by two other dogs. This place is not good for senior dogs. Avoid it for boarding if you have a senior dog. We boarded our 3 Shih Tzu's on October 8th, late afternoon and collected them on October 16th in the morning. During that time, we communicated by email and they confirmed that all dogs were doing great, except that all 3 had diarrhea, to which they stated that they would feed them pumpkin. Shame on me for not reading reviews before boarding my dog here. But if you're reading this you're already a step ahead of me so I'll say DO NOT BOARD YOUR PET HERE. I've always boarded my dog at another place in town but decided to try Pet Paradise as it is a bit closer to me and the prices were a bit less. Huge mistake.
