Nobody wants a sick kid. Scratch that....Nobody wants a sick kid on a holiday weekend in a city that is away from home. It was thanksgiving weekend and my daughter was not feeling good. We were away from home (meaning we were away from our pediatrician) and I had no idea where to go! Enter Physicians Immediate Care. I went on a Saturday morning thinking I had bronchitis (after being home sick for a week). I was seen after waiting only about 5 minutes. What to expect: Easy to get to; parking on site; clean with big waiting room. I only waited 5 minutes to be seen by the doctor. First i saw the nurse who took my vitals and details on my symptoms - she was very gentle and sweet. This review hurts to write. But mostly in my stomach. See, I was up all night on Friday, in the terms the kids used to use, worshipping the porcelain goddess. Now when I first "woke up" on Saturday morning, I figured it was just alcohol mixed with just getting dumped (the alcohol came first, I'm not a tortured artist or alcoholic) that was making me run back and forth to the bathroom. Since I tend to get sinus infections twice a year, I've been back here several times. While I did wait an hour and a half the last time (I think they were busy stitching up a girl who had a nasty dog bite), I would still recommend this place. The staff is always extremely polite and kind, and ALL of them told me "Feel better!" after speaking with me. The place is also clean and seems fairly well organized. I went here for a broken toe expecting to wait for hours. Nope! The staff was really nice and I was taken in immediately for an exam and xrays. This is a great place to go when you can't get an appointment with your regular doctor.

Well, I'm kind of embarrassed to be writing this but I think Physicians Immediate Care deserves some kudos from me. For starters, no one snickered when I walked in with pink eye. No one said "Oh, well we all know how you got THAT!" Second, Dr. Patel was a frickin' hoot. He, too, didn't judge me for having pink eye, and didn't assume I'd been rolling around in sewage. I am not meant to take out the trash. I mean, really, I should have a maid or something. I am far too busy to do chores! This theory was validated for me the other night while doing said chore. I was lifting some not so heavy bags of trash when my back suddenly started spazzing and horrible pain followed. Fast and professional. The receptionist was kind enough to tell me the place was pretty full when I called at noon. I booked a spot online, and by the time I showed up, there was very little wait time. The PA was great; pretty much guessed I had strep, and the doctor nicely explained how the bacteria worked, etc. I am definitely a fan of this place.
