Buy nothing but the best...Polaris 380 I had my old polaris 380 for 12 years, I do no cleaning except brushing by hand once a month to get real fine dust because of drought conditions causing huge dust clouds.It was still working but getting wore out and crispy and I got such a good deal on ebay I had to buy a new one,This is an amazing gadget, it will actually pick up the rocks my grandson throws in the pool. I could not even imagine going back to no polaris...it's the bomb diggidy.
380 Polaris. The best. I have had a 380 Polaris before and it lasted about 12 years. It was repaired twice locally for about $50 each time. Then I bought a Heyward Phantom. It worked 13 months. One extra month after its warranty expired and it was in the repair shop for over a year because they could not get the parts. Then it broke again within a month. Polaris 380 is definitely the one to use. We will see how the new one lasts. Glad to have a Polaris back.
Cleans like my cleaning lady Great cleaner, works like a champ. Cleans the bottom and sides of the pool. Though its easy to ignor, don't do it. Clean the bag, baskets and filter often.
gotta good buy on this one Bought this guy because mine was 15yrs old and parts were NLA. Cleaner came as promised and on time. Even had a few extra parts not mentioned. The 380 needs a separate pump to use and delivers better power because it has 3 water jets shooting into the bag drawing debris with the water vacuum. Can't recommend used parts cuz u never know what u get.
OK, not amazing It's doing the work but you have to consider the shape of the pool because for example in my case it can't move from the corner of the stairs meaning that I cannot relay on it to work fully automatic, I just started to use it last week & it might need some tweeking but any way for now this is the situation.
great product Works as described; so much better than our old one which was a more basic Polaris model! Comes with hoses and back up valve as part of the assembly. Would have preferred that the unit came with two bags as Polaris recommends using one and having another as an alternate as cleaning the bag when wet is impossible.

polaris belts The belts, advertised as new were just awful. They were coming apart after about a week of use and stretched to a point adjusting was not possible. The longer belt would roll over where the ribs would face upward. Once replaced with oem belts it has been running fine. Do not know where the belts came from but they were absolutely garbage.
Poor vacuum The hole in the center is alot smaller than original 380 and leaves get clogged inside
