Cleans the pool 110% better than my old Polaris cleaner. Easy to operate and clean.
Our Polar iQ+ does a wonderful job cleaning our pool but the cord is quite cumbersome. We understood that corded models have more consistent suction and can clean for longer periods of time than corded models, and we also didn’t want to deal with batteries that loose power over time and need to be replaced; so we chose the corded model. I've had the Alpha IQ+ for about a month. So far it's worked very well. It was pretty easy to get the app connected and it runs well. At first after connecting to Wi-Fi, the app message was telling me that it couldn't do a firmware update and to contact customer care. I didn't care too much since I go to the pool daily to clean the filter and things. I procrastinated calling customer care because I was busy during most standard working hours. The machine's operation is easy to learn. The lift system is a nice feature.

The robot is great for getting leaves and acorns, big stuff, which we have a lot of with all the trees in our back yard. However, it is not good at picking up dirt. I have watched it several times. The impression I have is that the filter/catch basket isn't fine enough to trap the dirt the unit picks up. It sucks it up fine but I can watch it blow the dirt it picks up out the back of the unit. So it just moves the dirt around instead of collecting it.
