Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Worked Well for 2+ years This was a genuine Polaris part, and it worked well with my Polaris 380 for 2 years and 2 months. It stopped working properly, and I found the case had a crack at the location of the backup flow outlet. I had expected it to last longer. Some of the parts I had ordered previously lasted 4-5 years.
