It works very well. Easy to start and has not damaged anything in the pool. Does a great job of picking up small and large items! Only negative thing is the bag got caught up a couple of times in the wheels and made a small hole in the bag. This was really do to heavy sand particles that it picked up after a contractor spilled a cup or 2 of sand in the pool. Overall it’s great! Love it!

We needed to replace our previous vac which was only 1 year old and was actually a replacement from the 1 that was only a year and a half years old. Our pool guy recommended the Polaris 280. We bought one and have been very pleased with the job it does. We haven’t had it but about a month. The only design flaw we see is that it doesn’t have a handle to pool it out of the pool as our previous one did. We don’t like having to pull it out by the hose. Great so far otherwise. This is the second Polaris 280 that I’ve owned. It simplifies keeping our pool free of dirt and leaves. Love it

I am not really impressed with this sweep. I replaced a Hayward vac sweep. This one does not sink to the bottom unless you pull off the tail float, but once the tail float is removed, it will fall on its side and not function properly. In the shallow end of the pool, it works great. Its when it gets to the deep end, 5ft 5 inches, that the back end floats and it does not get a vacuum to work in that area.
