Polaris Vac-Sweep 280

I had an old Polaris pool sweep, and it was on its last "wheels" so to speak. This new one runs better and smoother than the old one. We'll have to wait a season or two before the final verdict is in on the quality and durability of the new sweep.

The 280 is great. I had a newer model. It would stay stuck until I moved it. It would stop moving every few minutes and just sit there, and the tail wouldn't sweep, just stayed straight. The 280 gets stuck, but gets moving again very quickly. It covers the whole pool in good time and the tail sweeps!! Win win!

For some reason the 280 works better than the 380 or the other models.

This is my second time around with a Polaris 280. The first one lasted about 10 years. During that time I had to replace a few parts to keep it running smoothly but it still worked well after 10 years. My new one has been in the pool for about a month now and is working very well. I think it is a great value for the price. I can't imagine that the expensive robotic cleaners would do much better..
